Did you know we share our site with Ryedale Society of Model Engineers Limited - RSMEL and you can book birthday train rides by contacting them directly.

We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful village hall.

Next month we will be reopening for train rides.
Dates for 2025 are:
March: 22,23
April: 20
May: 4, 18
June: 1 (Gilling East Village Fete), 15
July: 6,20,27
August: 3,10,17,31
September: 7,13,14,21

Unfortunately due to rising costs we have had to put our prices up to £1.50 per ride, which is the first time we have had to in many years.

The February Quiz night is on Sunday 9th starting at 7.30pm in The Fairfax Arms. Cost is £1 per person with teams of no more than four. All proceeds for Gilling East Village Hall.

Thinking about having a railway themed party? Why not book a train and Gilling East village hall? Contact us to book the railway and train rides and contact Gilling East Village Hub to book the village hall. Unfortunately due to rising costs we have had to increase our prices for the railway this year.
On a day we are already open it's £75 for 1 hour
On a day we aren't already open it's £175 for 2 hours.

22/23 March - Celebrating National Village Hall Week
On 22nd March we will be giving rides in conjunction with a coffee morning with Gilling East Village Hall to celebrate National Village Hall week. This will be our first public running day of the year and we will also be running on the 23rd March. Please come down and see us for the first running weekend of the year!

Gilling Model Car Club event

Saturday 11th January from midday to 2.00pm is the next meeting of Gilling Model Car Club.

Come and have a go at driving radio-controlled cars and see what the hobby is all about. Bring along your projects or just come along and see what others are working on.
