I love providing flowers for weddings at the Tithe Barn and last week's was no exception!

The whole vibe for the barn decoration was wild flowers, from the gorgeous table cards, to the pretty place setings, to my 100% plot grown flowers, everything worked beautifully together, all planned brilliantly by the bride.

For the grand fireplace, this was the second 'flower meadow' arrangement that I've created this year. The aim is for it to look just like I've plucked a piece of a flower meadow from the countryside and placed it (using a sturdy ladder) onto the mantel shelf. This entails alot more work than you may think, but I always love the finished result, and all using eco-friendly methods.

I'd like to thank all of my brides, both past and future, for believing in how wonderful 100% British flowers can be in adding that magical natural touch to their weddings!

If you fancy a few hours away from it all with like minded folk in a beautiful setting (overlooking Duncliffe woods), then I am offeing a Spring Bouquet making workshop in my cosy Shepherds hut on the morning of Saturday 6th April. You will learn how to arrange a gorgeous Spring Bouquet from freshly picked flowers from the plot, including some gorgeous speciality tulips (including peony like ones!!). Start time is 10.00am, ending around 12.30pm and will include a short tour of the plot weather permitting.
Price is £45, which includes all materials, refreshments and home made cake!!).

This was the end floral result from that wedding balcony decoration...full of lushous greenery including ferns, ivy and trailing passion flower foliage. Flowers included pale pink astile, perennial statice, white lisianthus, and smoke bush fluffiness - with the stars of the show being plot grown hydrangea Annabelle and trailing green amaranthus!!

It was definately worth the effort!!
