Big news! Wink Entertainment is heading north to Aberdeen! This means we’re now bringing the party to even more of the North East – and we can’t wait to be part of your events, parties, and unforgettable celebrations. 🥳

Wink Entertainment are thrilled to be supporting this fantastic event raising money for Charlie House HQ.

Come and join us for a fun day out with all of the family! There's going to be bouncy castles, face painting, games, local traders and much more!

Mr Wink will be in attendance on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th August with balloons and bubbles galore so make sure to stop by and say hello.

Sometimes it’s the little things that matter.

Sitting in my car reflecting after a fantastic afternoon in Brechin performing for Pauline & Chris as well as all of their lovely guests on their special day.

Just as I was leaving I was given this little card and it has made my day reminding me why I do what I do. I am absolutely honoured to have been able to bring a little extra magic to your special day!

Who are Overture Theatre?

Overture was formed in 2018 by Janet Irving with the help of several committed individuals for the purpose of performing the show ‘Dani Girl’ which successfully ran at the Abbey Theatre in September of that year. We raised over £1500 which was donated to local charity TCCL supporting their work with children across the region with cancer and leukaemia.

It was always the intention to build on that and continue to raise funds through performance for local causes close to our hearts.

However time did not allow for this right away due to our members being involved in other theatre groups in Arbroath, Dundee and elsewhere in Tayside! Then of course Covid hit putting paid to all plans.

Since we have all been back performing it was just a matter of time before we could regroup and the right opportunity presented itself. And we could not be happier that the opportunity is in the form of this show ‘Come from Away’. A story more than anything about the kindness of strangers towards those in need.

We will be partnering once more with local charities in this production so please watch this space!

For this show we have been very fortunate also to have support from the very experienced and talented Richard Allan as musical director. Current conductor of the Tayside Symphony Orchestra and Friends Choir, he has also stood as musical director for a multitude of shows over several decades in Arbroath and Dundee.

Our external suppliers for lighting design, sound design and set are all delighted to be on board with this exciting opportunity. And of course must mention Ryan at Wink Entertainment for all his help with artwork and graphics!

Now all we need is a cast as excited and enthusiastic as we are and we can’t wait to see you all at our open night on 22nd July.

What a fantastic day Mr Wink had today in Montrose at the annual GSK Montrose family picnic. He even had the pleasure of meeting Annie the alpaca and friends…whether or not they were as interested in Mr Wink we don’t know.
