So..

4 years ago I asked someone out on a date.

They said no.

Grim..

To distract me from an existential crisis.

I took a comedy class Improv Theatre - The GIT .

It was fun and the teacher was passionate and knowledgeable. Jason Perez

I was 38 - "A bit late for that s**t mate" - lads in the factory

The class show came and .. I sucked.

Took another class, James Walmsley

The class was good, I still sucked.

No dates.

More classes

Someone ate a bat, I sat indoors for a bit..

Me and some pals @ Frances McNally 's husband Simpson Paul Holmes John McGlone Karen Davidson found improv classes online coached by the awesome: Will Hines Billy Merritt Katy Schutte Julia Kelly Michael Delaney Sarah Claspell Michelle J. Gilliam Shannon O'Neill Erick Acuña Will Naameh Pippa Evans Maria Peters Brandon Gardner & Al Donohoe (who was just starting coaching back then - Got his own school now)

I began to suck less,

Put on my first show last year, didn't suck... kind of cool.

More shows - Been selling out. (People cheer and laugh and clap and stuff)

I believe that the two most joyful things you can experience are:

Watching two strangers find genuine connection, and seeing a gang of kind hearted people have fun together

Our two strangers are meeting on stage, single, blindfolded.

The blindfold is removed and they meet for the first time.

It's a real blind date.

It's awkward at first but then.. they genuinely forget the audience is there.

A kind of magic happens and they really connect.

But, before they can fall in love, our group of gleefully silly improvisers take to the stage.

Bringing to life the whimsical comments spoken moments before on the date.

This is a inclusive joyful show where everyone is respected but silly fun is had by all.

Doors: 6.45 pm for 7 pm show start
