✨️Real Wedding✨️
I was lucky enough to be asked to create wedding flowers for a customer who met me at the Oran Mor Wedding Fayre back in 2023.
The bride told me her colour scheme was ivory, lilac, and dusky pink so I created her bouquet to resonate with this.
For the flowers I added paper roses, paper peonies, paper carnations and paper ranunculus.
For the foliage I added paper eucalyptus, fiscus, and ruscus.
Here is a sneaky peak of her stunning paper bridal bouquet.

These giant paper roses were one of the most time-consuming flowers I have created.
This was partly due to wanting the flower to be perfect, but also because I hand painted every petal to add a slight difference in shade to make it more realistic.
Once the flowers were made, I then added some darker shades of crepe paper to the inner folds of the flower, to add more texture and depth to the rose.

Meet the Team
Designer
I started learning how to make paper flowers by purchasing SVG digital patterns. However, I have since learned that making my own patterns allows me to develop my own sense of style.
Manufacturer
All flowers are made by me. Some can take as little as 10 minutes, and others can take as long as 3-4 hours.
Packaging manager
Packaging is the worst part of my job. As a lot of my orders are bespoke, calculating box sizes and postage prices can be a nightmare.
Content creator
Considering content creation is now a full-time job for some people, it just goes to show the amount of work involved.
Marketing Manager
I didn’t listen to my marketing lectures in Uni. Therefore, I had to give myself a crash course in how to market my brand.
Website Creator
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever have to create a website. I thought only geeks designed websites. So I guess I’m now one of them...
Event Stylist
Travelling to different places for event set-ups is exciting. I love seeing a space change into something magical.
Paper Florist
All in all, being a paper florist is not just about making paper flowers.
There is so much more involved, but I am so grateful for the skills I have learned along the way and will continue to learn.

I'm working on a major project just now to create a range of giant paper flowers for a Spring window display.
This is the inside of my Clare De Lune crepe paper peony. There is so much detail involved with twisting, scrunching, and darting the paper to create these delicate ruffles.

Share this with anyone who needs to hear it.
Looking after your mental health is so important, especially if you are feeling stressed and overwhelmed by everything you have going on.
This advice also goes for anyone (not just brides).
I've been trying to prioritise myself a little more this week.
-less time on social media as it's beginning to overwhelm me.
-I tried breath-work for the first time to try and calm myself down along with mediation.
-I also completed a yoga and a pilates (both of which I'm not a massive fan of.
-I even put ear seeds on to see what all the fuss is about.
Sometimes, you don't know why to feel the way you feel, but putting yourself first, talking openly, and accepting your feelings will only help in the long run.

What Has Been My Biggest Achievement This Year? I found this incredibly hard to whittle down as I have had quite a few personal ones this year.
