The worst part is when the ceremony is over and I need to say my goodbyes. Especially when they're as special as Kyran and Sophie.

Wow! What an afternoon that was. Rafael and Jamie chose to get married at Jamie's parents house. It looked absolutely stunning and I received an amazing welcome into the family home!! 😍
A very intimate and personal ceremony with their closest friends and family (Rafaels family coming over from Brazil). There were many happy tears and roars of laughter throughout their ceremony. It couldn't have been better.
Rafael and Jamie are 2 of the nicest people I've ever met. Both genuine, decent people and i will miss our catch ups! 😢
A busy week ahead. Several meetings and catch-ups tonight and then then on Thursday it's the wedding of Rafael and Jamie which will be amazing. Saturday then takes me to Lochgreen House Hotel for the marriage of Catherine and Raymond.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of marrying Nicola and Harry at 91b Private Members Venue. I knew from our very first meeting that this ceremony would be filled with love and laughter and that's exactly what happened.
They even brought along their fur baby Nara who barked her seal of approval at the right moments!

The girls at Fetch N Stretch did an amazing job of looking after their fur baby Nara during the wedding (and kudos also to best man Jonny 👏).
Nara was one of the stars of the show and it was only right she should be included.
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Padda. As I mentioned during their amazing ceremony, Harry can now change Nara's surname from Sheppard to Padda 😂
Saturday took me a short trip to the stunning Rowallan Castle for the wedding of Rhiannon and Adam all the way from Toronto.
With 96 of their friends and family in attendance it was always going to be an amazing day. We even had a blend of their Dad's favourite Whisky's expertly poured into the Quaich by their Mums 😍
What a day!! ♥️
When I set out on my journey to become a celebrant this is exactly what my aim was - to be more like a family friend than just someone who is marrying you. The days of "stuffy celebrants" are a thing of the past. Your wedding should be fun, personal and above all memorable.

Before we welcome in 2024, I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone I married this year. It has been a privilege to get to know you all and I really am honoured that you chose me to be your celebrant on your special day.

Well what a day that was! I had the pleasure of marrying Lindsey and Tony at the fabulous Redhurst Hotel right here in Giffnock.
We had handfasting, Quaich drinking (a very special bottle of Jamesons!), poetry from Lindsey's mum and Tony's mum presented a family tartan sash to our bride Lindsey. It was live streamed to their friends and family from around the world. 🌍🎥📺

Today's venue is just a short walk from my house (literally 300 yards!) for the wedding of Lindsey and Tony. Looking forward to an amazing ceremony ❤️

As the saying goes "find a job you enjoy doing and you will never have to work a day in your life!". That's certainly the case when I get to meet so many nice couples such as Laura and Jordan and get to plan their wedding ceremony together ❤️
Laura and Jordan's story began back in 2015 where they both worked at an American Summer camp for adults and children with special needs.
The initial spark was there and when Laura returned to Glasgow and Jordan to Birmingham they were determined to see each other again no matter the distance (even when Laura attended Uni in Oz!).
Fast forward to 2021 with not 1 but 2 separate proposals (the ring hadn't arrived in time for the first!) and with their fur baby 'Alfie' completing their little family it was time to start planning their future together starting with the most amazing wedding!
Laura and Jordan 2 are the epitome of a 'Love Story' (just had to get that reference in for Taylor Swift fan Laura!). The amazing weather on Saturday meant a last minute change to an outside ceremony. Over 70 of their closest friends and family basked in the glorious Ayrshire Sunshine to share the beginning of this next chapter in their lives together. Jordan managed (only just!) to hold the tears back during the ceremony.
The ceremony was filled with laughter and even references to Jordan's other love 'Port Vale'!
Congratulations once again Mr and Mrs Salisbury, it was an absolute privilege to be part of your special day. ❤️
