We are privy to so many beautiful wedding photos and embracing the weather always results in the most wonderful images and memories! Wind makes for flowing vails and with muddy terrain you get giggly smiles.
I’m shooting a very secret elopement in the rain today. There’s always something magical about being involved in such an intimate occasion. Today it’s just me, the couple and their witnesses. Here’s a picture from my last elopement, which also took place in torrential rain, at sunrise at the beautiful in Bath. People often ask ‘what happens if it rains?’. My answer is we embrace it. We seek out beautiful inside window light, we get flexible with the plan and, most importantly, we grab umbrellas and we head outside and embrace it! If you’re looking for a solid wet weather contingency plan the amazing hire umbrellas (and other things). Sadly today I’ll be sheltering under my tiny compact brolly as I splash through the puddles.
