Is it our accents? Perhaps our beautiful, natural scenery? Or maybe it is our collective love of Irn Bru?💙🧡

We Scot’s have such a rich culture; it is no wonder so many of us choose to display our ‘Scottishness’ on our Wedding Day💍 Here are some ideas that you can incorporate into your special day to highlight your heritage:

Let’s start off with an obvious one – Tartan🤩
Tartan Kilt outfits are a popular choice amongst Scottish Grooms, and it is easy to see why.
You can choose to honour your name by donning your family tartan or you can pick one you just really like the look of! Whatever your reasoning, you are sure to find your perfect match🤝
Kilts are not the only way to incorporate tartan into your special day. You can add a touch of tartan to your cake, your florals, your stationery and even your dress!
Tartan is a timeless staple in Scottish Weddings – it will never go out of style!✨

We Scots love our scran! Why not use traditional Scottish Tablet or Shortbread as wedding favours for your guests?😋
Or you could use mini Scottish Whisky bottles if that is more your vibe. Irn Bru is also a great non-alcoholic substitute depending on your preferences🥤

No Scottish Wedding is complete without a Piper🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 There is nothing quite as evocative as the first note from the bagpipes. With many pipers offering traditional tunes as well as renditions of modern music, we can see why they are still a popular choice for celebrating a marriage in Scotland🎶

One tradition we don’t see as often, and we hope makes a comeback, is a good old-fashioned Scramble!🪙 For those of you who are unfamiliar with this tradition, it is when coins are thrown into the air for the children, or young guests, to ‘scramble’ and collect.
