Bowls Scotland National Finals

Congratulations and a very well done to Aimee Harris who picked up the silver medal this afternoon in the Ladies U-25s singles competition.

Aimee had a great win in the morning semi-final and then ran her opponent very close on a tricky rink in the final. It was a great effort and fantastic achievement.

Aimee still has a few years left in the competition so time is on her side.

Aimee everyone in the club is proud of your achievements and thank you for your efforts.

‘Mon the Hill !!!!

Bowls Scotland National Finals

Mixed fortunes for our representatives over the first couple of days.

Unfortunately Charlie lost in the 1st round of the Over 55’s singles but Aimee is flying the flag brilliantly for the club and is now in the semi-final of the Under 25’s singles.

The game takes place at 10am tomorrow so anyone who can please try and get to Ayr to give her some support.

Bowls Scotland National Championships

Now that the dust has settled we are delighted to confirm that Scotstounhill will once more be represented at the Bowls Scotland National Championships.

In the Ladies competitions Aimee Harris will be playing in the Under 25 singles and Eleanor Cowan, Mags Morton and Audrey Cameron have once more qualified in the Triples.

And for the first time in many years the Gents will also be represented at the Finals with Charlie Steele having qualified in the Over 55 singles.

Both Aimee and Charlie will play their first game on Sunday 28th July with the Ladies Triples first game being on Wednesday 31st.

It is a great achievement for the club to be so well represented and I’m sure the players would love to have as many members as possible there on the day to give them some support.

Good luck to all the players.

C’mon the Hill !!!!!

Delighted to see that Aimee Harris, one of our newest members has been selected to represent the Scotland Ladies U-25 team in the Home International series due to be held in Belfast in mid September.

Congratulations Aimee and good luck for the event.

Congratulations to one of our newest members Aimee Harris in reaching the District Final of the Bowls Scotland Ladies U-25 competition. Whilst new to the Hill Aimee is a very experienced player and a great addition to the club.

Well done Aimee.

Aimee and her sister Abbie also recently won the Linda Brennan Ladies U-25 pairs run by Bowls Scotland so a double celebration is in order.

Keep up the good work Aimee.

It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of former Ladies President Mrs Anne Kennedy. Our thoughts are with Gordon and the rest of the family.

Funeral arrangements to follow.

Just a quick note to let Club Members know that Stevie & Lesley Neil are having a party on 30th March to celebrate their big birthdays (50th / 60th - not necessarily in that order 😂 ) and all members are invited to join them. It should be a great night.
