✨NO MIU CONCERTS UNTIL 2025✨

This is just a reminder that there will be no more Music in the University concerts until the New Year!
We are currently very busy putting together our 2025 programme, which will hopefully be launching soon.

In the meantime, there are other events and concerts programmed by student societies to attend, including the Choral Society's performance of Handel's Messiah (30/11/24), which Music in the University are supporting.

We hope you all have a wonderful festive period and look forward to seeing you in the New Year!🎵

✨Event✨

On Saturday 30th November, join the University of Glasgow Choral Society and Chapel Choir, with the Dunedin Consort and players from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for a landmark performance of Handel's Messiah, directed by Professor John Butt.

Messiah was last performed at the university in 2006, four years after John Butt took up the position of Gardiner Professor of Music. Almost twenty years later, we're delighted to mark John Butt's retiral by revisiting Messiah with performers drawn from the university and wider community.

This event is presented by Music in the University and generously supported by the University of Glasgow's Ferguson Bequest.

Tickets are available at £5/£10/£15 and can be booked via the link in our bio and via the GU Choral Society's Eventbrite page.

Please feel free to share this event with anyone who may be interested and we hope to see lots of you there!🎵
