First attempt of using the floral egg method for this compact yet extending design. However I substituted the plastic egg for repurposed chicken wire & reused ribbon. With sustainability in mind I forriaged for local plants for this arrangement.
Ideal for a modern take on a wedding/bridesmaid bouquet.

🌎 Sustainable Floristry 🌍

Without a doubt if I, eventually, get my own brick & mortar shop there will be a huge effort made to ensure that every product going out the door is as sustainable/environmentally friendly as possible. Learning how to do floral designs and arrangements sustainably are my favourite lessons in college.

This is my first attempt of an asymmetric design using reusable chicken wire and moss. The vast majority of florists use floral foam daily, while relatively cost effective and efficient, it is FULL of plastic which decimates our Earth and cannot be recycled or broken down.

***disclaimer - these flowers are from the supermarket. Due to work commitments I was unable to go to the flower market to source the flowers for college this week. Every customer order is made with the freshest and highest quality flowers Glasgow has to offer directly from the flower market- never ever from the shops.***

Delighted to say that my college class raised over £600 for a local hospital, the QEUH Head Trauma Unit, with our festive stall. Very proud of us all and hope the funds raised can make a difference to those in need.

Been a very busy weekend with finishing off my handmade wreaths for the season and completing my first wedding which will forever be a very special memory and moment in my career. The feeling of joy when a bride tells you they loved their flowers is new for me but a natural high I cannot wait to experience again!

A little bit different, I've been practicing leaf weaving techniques. Loving the saltire effect from the Phormium.
