Hello There! It's been a short while, so please let me re-introduce myself to you.
I’m known among my friends as the gal who loves an adventure and who is a massive food enthusiast, addicted to catching flights, having wholesome thrills and gorging on salty/sweet carbolicious food with a suspicious attraction to the odd Negroni on a non-school night - but here I'm known as the managing director and head florist at Cora Anderson Floristry + Event Styling. You guessed it! My name's Cora, it's an absolute delight to meet you. ✈️🍕🥃🌿🌷🌸
If you're familiar with our wedding and event flowers or styling, I'm really happy, and proud to say that a large majority of our workload has been lead by myself 👩🏻💻👩🏻🌾 in the planning stages, and creation stages in the workshop… or on site at one of the many beautiful venues we’ve created flowers at for our clients.
I’ve been very fortunate in my career as a professional wedding and event florist over the past decade to have designed and crafted beautiful flower arrangements for some really amazing people celebrating at their weddings 🫶, as well as providing commercial floristry and corporate event floristry to brands/events such as Rolex, The Scottish Music Awards, COP26, Channel 4, BBC, and The Open Championships to name a few. 😍
One of the things I love about my job, is that, for the day sometimes I get a temporary ‘office’ with a view. I've have had the privilage of working in some of the countries great venues from castles (Even Edinburgh Castle itself!) to stately homes, luxury hotels, private households, arena's, ballrooms and quirky venues. You could say - I've seen them all! (Yes I do have a fav haha).
At the heart of the business, is just a girl who simply loves to design floral looks, and design spaces to be enjoyed during special occasions whether that’s for events of over 500 people, elegant weddings or small intimate gatherings, the special thing about each occasion, is that it provides a blank canvas to create something beautiful.
