And that’s a wrap! Today’s Pride Over Prejudice:
event marked the conclusion of a year of work with our groups in Govan, Maryhill, Toryglen & Parkhead! From powerful performances to thought-provoking workshops, we’ve seen firsthand the impact of creativity in challenging bigotry and sectarianism.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who made this year possible – our amazing participants, dedicated tutors, passionate youth workers, supportive community partners, and the welcoming venues that hosted us. We’re especially grateful to the The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland for believing in our vision and making it a reality.

Lovely to read Stephen's diary entries 🥰

Meet me in Govan head out on their weekly walking adventures every Thursday. To join them, meet at the PI reception at 10.30am.

🙌🏻 Do You Want to Know What’s Happening in Govan?

❤️ If so, then read our journal from our very loved volunteer, Stephen! Each week, Stephen captures the highlights and memorable moments from our Meet Me in Govan walks, bringing you along on our adventures.

🗒️ Here’s what Stephen has written in his latest journal entries - enjoy, and stay tuned for more insights into our Govan walks!

👉🏻 Walk on 17th October
"We started our walk today from the PI meeting point. Today we were grateful to have the company of Wendy, Andrew, Jennifer, Michaela and myself. We walked from the PI to the new Govan/Partick bridge before heading towards the transport museum. This gave us a good chance to catch up with one another and two chat about upcoming Meet Me In Govan news. After this, we headed to the Clydeside distillery for some more photo opportunity and to take in the good weather. This was a great walk as the weather was fantastic for walking, and the group was small, meaning everyone got the opportunity to chat with one another."

👉🏻 Walk on 24th October
"Today’s walk saw us starting at the Pierce Institute, our meeting point for our morning walks. In attendance today, we have myself, Andrew, Jennifer, Michaela, David, Wendy, and Karyn who came over from Partick. This was a great turn out for our walk and really makes a difference to be surrounded by friendly faces. We walked through Govan towards Elder Park whilst catching up on all of our weekly activities. We had a good chat about the litter situation in Govan and we had a couple of ideas on how to combat the growing problem in our local area. We parted ways after this, with Jennifer, Andrew and I stopping for a coffee on the way home, enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city. We are all looking forward to meeting up again soon."

😎 Join us on Thursday morning at 10.30 am! We meet in The Pearce Institute reception and everyone is welcome 🤗
