My of 2023. But to be honest, this barely scratches the surface. I am properly lucky to be doing a job I love. The trust and enthusiasm I get from all my couples is so appreciated, I absolutely love working with you all.
I’m also so thankful to work with the amazing photographers, venues, planners and vendors that I do. The talent, creativity, passion and warmth within the Scottish wedding industry is just off the scale.
Personally, 2023 has been a mixed bag. After getting the all clear last last year, it’s taken far longer than I expected to get back to a place where I feel physically comfortable and strong. But I’m currently feeling so much better than I have been and want to say thankyou to my amazing friends and family for all the support.
I’m entering the new year feeling excited and positive, I’ve got so many wonderful projects coming up. I promise to try and be less crap at sharing on here!
Happy 2024 to you all! B### 🥂
Craving a little sunshine on this, the shortest day of the year.

When I get time to take pictures of the bouquets I make I always make sure:
•I get the whole bouquet in shot,
•leave enough space for my head to be cropped out of the image. I’m not really one for selfies.
•and stand so that the irritating plug socket is out of sight.
Failed on all counts. This was a flippin huge bouquet though!

A rare picture of me without my head chopped off. 🙃
This post isn’t really about flowers, although I’m clearly more comfortable hiding behind them.
Back in April this year I was diagnosed with cancer. This came as a bit of a shock, as up till that point I had been feeling totally fine. Given my age I assumed I had a good 20 years before I had to worry about anything like that. But of course, this illness doesn’t discriminate.
The spring and summer involved months of radiotherapy and chemotherapy which -I'm not sure how exactly, I fitted in between my wedding bookings. My treatment culminated in October with surgery to remove part of my colon.
I won’t pretend that it’s been easy, there have been times that have been exhausting, painful and just plain terrifying, but, I’m incredibly lucky and I say that with no sense of irony. My friends and family, my partner Chris and my kids have been wonderful. Supportive doesn’t begin to cover it.
The treatment I received from the incredible staff at the Beatson Cancer centre and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital has been amazing and today, I sit here cancer free. Grateful beyond words and with a somewhat altered perspective on life.

This is the time of year for stopping to catch breath after what has been a busy year both personally and professionally.
Thanks so much to the lovely Emma and Lee for sharing the gallery from this glorious day back in September. The images by are just beautiful.
These guys were a dream to work with. They had a clear vision but were also relaxed and receptive to ideas. Thanks so much for having me onboard.

Yesterday for Emma and Scott at the beautiful @errolparkestate If there’s two things I love it’s meadows and a good staircase. So staircase meadows in the most gorgeous palette of blues, lavender and lilac it was. Huge congratulations to E & S!
For Abi & James. ✨ The most beautiful of days in the most beautiful of settings @tullibolecastle . Huge congratulations to A & J!!
Huge congratulations to Aphril & Graham who got married yesterday at the beautiful @dundascastle Absolutely loved working with my favourite spring flowers in this gorgeous toffee and lilac colour palette.
It feels more than possible that this has been the longest winter ever. Signs of spring appearing seem oh so needed. A comforting reminder of time passing, things progressing and (hopefully) improving. I get excited about the start of the spring flowers every year. But this year they are especially welcome. I’m finalising my flower selection for this years Valentines/ Palentines offerings. Amongst anemones, ranunculus and other Spring favourites, these tulips looking like the prettiest of painted ladies have definitely made the cut. If you’ve yet to order yours, head to the link in my bio and secure one of the limited spots. Pick up from the studio in G41 on the 13th. Delivery within Glasgow on the 14th. Thankyou so much for all your orders so far. BX
