It's time for a Throwback Thursday! 🙌

Did you know that the bridge we find ourselves nestled under is known as 'The Hielanman's Umbrella'? ☂

This popular meeting point was built in 1879 as part of the extension of Glasgow Central Station, and was used for Gaels who met up to discuss their new lives in Glasgow, having been evicted from their rural homes throughout The Highland Clearances. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We are so proud to have a venue steeped in and surrounded by so much culture and history, and we hope that can continue this legacy by offering a central meeting place to the wonderful people of Glasgow.
