Are you nervous about missing important details?

That's okay 🫶Totally normal and understandable but you don't need to worry.

I know it is easy for me to say 'just trust the process' as I do this for a living but really it is important that you do - not just with me but with all your suppliers as we all know our fields and we all have an important part to play on the day. You'll be guided, given advice & supported. 🥰

I always created a very detailed timeline for you that covers the timings, logistics, set-ups and highlights any potential restrictions on the day. So we cover it all in advance!

Where to start when planning a wedding or event?

I get asked this question – a lot! It can be so daunting taking on this mammoth task of planning plus you’re working full-time, juggling family commitments and maybe even moving house too! Life is busy all the time and this is where I help!

Firstly look at these 4 factors first as they will determine how the rest of the day will take shape.

👉 The Budget
👉 Estimated Guest Numbers
👉 Preferred Date/Day
👉 Design, Style or Theme

The Budget – this determines your guest numbers, venue choice and styling. It is important that you set a realistic budget. Where is the budget is coming from? What extras might crop up?

Estimated guest numbers – draft a list of everyone you would like to have at your wedding or event. Be realistic as this needs to fit within your budget and will determine the size of venue available to you. As a guide, you can expect approx. 10% of guests on that list to not be able to attend for whatever reason (family/work commitments/holidays etc)

Preferred date/day – peak wedding season is between May to Aug although weddings happen all year round. During peak wedding season (especially bank holiday months) you’ll find that most Saturdays will book up first with Fridays not far behind them. If you are totally flexible on the date/day, then you will have more options available to you when venue shopping.

Design, style or theme – having a visual of how your wedding or event will look will help when selecting a date and a venue. What is your style? Once you have an idea of your vibe this will help with selecting a venue and possibly a date too (if you think about the seasons of the year) There is so much to explore on this topic (I could write a book!) but I’ll leave it there for the moment.

Firstly I have to take a moment to reflect on the incredible couples and events I had the pleasure of working with last year. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your most special moments - it truly means the world to me!

As some of you know, I'm a proud mum to my little boy Lewis (who definitely keeps me on my toes!) and balancing work and family is so important to me, which is why I choose to keep my calendar intentionally light. MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅 🎄

The out of office is ON! Looking forward to some time off over the holidays with the family celebrating, eating & drinking waaaay too much! Ti's the season.

So happy to share with you the pro pics from Paige & Colins Autumn Wedding

Aww it was such a beautiful day with a bunch of beautiful people! How gorgeous do they look!?

Paige & Colin opted for a later ceremony time and decided to have their first looks / group pictures pre ceremony which allowed them to go straight into their cocktail hour, dinner then dancing! And oh how they danced!!!! It was a party 🎉🥂such a lovely couple to work with and amazing bridal party, family & friends too!

One year ago at Cameron House ....... BTS

The vision for this event was to create a quintessentially Scottish ambiance, celebrating the rich heritage and beauty of the region with decor that reflects the charm and elegance of Scotland.

I think we nailed it! What do you think?

I was delighted to assist my client with the planning & coordination of their annual Winter Conference. The service I provided included sourcing and liaising with all the suppliers, managing the timeline, checklists and budget as well as creating the all-important (& very detailed) event plan for each day. It was a jam packed time for the 150 guests which included their accommodation, annual meeting, outdoor activities, dinner, dancing with an after party too. 🥳

The stunning wild flowers, stationery and decor were created by 🫶

What to include on your Save the Date

Needs: Your names to stand out
You might even want to go as far as picking a different font from the rest of the wording. When printing your names, don’t forget to use your maiden names instead of the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs.

Doesn’t need: Your venue
Whether or not you’ve already selected your venue, don't feel pressured to include it (although of course you can if you choose to!) Just providing a city and state is sufficient.

Needs: The date of your wedding! Obviously! Make sure it has the date of the wedding day on it, and, if you are having a celebration for the weekend, make sure it is clear when the ceremony is.

Needs: Location
As in, what city, state and country your wedding is being held. Part of the reasoning behind sending a save the date so far in advance is so people can make travel plans.

Doesn’t need: Exact times
This early in the wedding-planning stages, there’s no need to have your timeline in place in terms of specifics (like the time of your ceremony and/or reception). The save the date is more for them to secure the day than a specific time.

Needs: Your wedding website
Save the dates should be created once your wedding website is up and running. This way, wedding guests can get to know you a little better as a couple (if they don’t already, of course), and become familiar with the type of wedding you’re planning on having. This is where all of the details of your wedding are going to live, so it's good to send people there as early on as possible.

Doesn’t need: Attire specifics
When thinking about what to include on a save the date, know that it doesn't have to specify the attire for the wedding, this can be added to your website and formal invitation.

Needs: A note that a formal invite will follow
It is also good to have the save the dates addressed to exactly who you want to know about your wedding. Adding & guest or plus 1 will give time to additional parties that would not otherwise receive the save the date.

Hello there 👋 I've see a flurry of new followers (thank you 🤍) & I have been waaaaaay too quiet on socials thanks to wedding season so I thought I'd reintroduce myself

I'm Anna, a fun & friendly, G&T loving yogi & mumma to my gorgeous boy Lewis.

Planning weddings and events is MY thing, I absolutely adore my job, I was made to do this. I am experienced in planning and executing all types of events, but weddings are my speciality.

I like alternate styles and to do things a little differently. If you're looking for help, I'm your gal! I'm super organised, motivated and I always go the extra mile for my clients.

Everyone has been to a wedding at some point in their life, however planning a wedding is a completely different experience than just being a guest. There's so much done behind the scenes and out of view to ensure your day is perfect. It has to be done right first time. If you're not happy, I'm not happy.

I am proud to say I have organised and been involved in over 1000 weddings and events in my career so far. I am so passionate about all things weddings & romance and not to mention that buzz you feel when chatting over the plans, and I thrive on the buzz when plans fall into place, I love it! 🥰

LAST MINUTE HICCUPS......

They happen BUT it is how you react to them that makes the difference. 💡

While I always go out of my way to ensure we have prepared and have a plan A & B (sometimes C!) in order for a seamless experience, it’s important to acknowledge that sometimes unexpected hiccups happen.

With my 20 + years experience and problem solving head on, I’m well-prepared to handle any issues that arise. I'm always armed and ready with my trusty kit box which has everything from sewing kits to superglue, pins to paracetamol, florist wire to confetti and so on (pretty much the full boot of my car!)

My focus is on ensuring that you enjoy your special day, so I’ll be behind the scenes managing everything to keep things running smoothly. You can trust that I’ll handle any challenges that crop up with professionalism and a calm approach. You'll likely be non the wiser if anything has gone wrong as I like to get things sorted without hassling you!
