LET’S TALK ABOUT NUBIYAN TWIST!

A blend of virtuosic players, skilled producers and inspired composers have joined forces to create a unique, infectious sound drawing on jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat, dancehall, soul, reggae and dance music. Nubiyan Twist seamlessly weave these together expertly, intertwining with electronic elements, horn-led melodies and spontaneous improvisation. Their latest album sees them collaborate with Rodgers on their new single “Lights Out”.

After a series of standout releases in 2023, Carly Wilford has secured her space as one of the most promising new names in dance music. Announced as one of the 'Future of Dance 2023’ Top 101 Producers in the world by 1001Tracklists at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, the list celebrates artists that have been important in defining the sounds of the electronic music world over the past 12 months. With Carly's tunes heavily backed by Radio 1, she opened the Dance Stage at this year’s Radio 1 Big Weekend in Dundee as well as playing the BBC Radio 1 Dance stage at Glastonbury. Rolling off the back of a game-changing summer that saw her hand over to the likes of Hannah Laing, Arielle Free, Monki and Meg Ward. Carly has released new music with Nervous Records, Arma da and Toolroom as well as collaborating with house music legend Todd Terry.

We're so excited to bring Carly back to the Glade Dome later this month!

CELEBRATING ANNIE

Annie Nightingale loved Glastonbury Festival. Her BBC Radio 1 show was broadcast from the Festival on Thursday nights through the 2000s from Silver Hayes and The Glade, and the last time she played the festival, in 2017, was on The Glade Main Stage. So it’s fitting that the Celebration of Annie’s life starts in The Glade on Thursday before moving to the BBC Introducing Stage for the after-dark part two.

The Glade Dome hosts the Daytime celebration, featuring The Nextmen Ft Kiko Bun and Fish56Octagon, who will be using his encyclopaedic knowledge of dance music to play a set of Annie’s favourite tunes. Annie’s beloved breakbeat is represented by King of The Beats - the breaks supergroup with Krafty Kuts plus members of the Freestylers and Plump DJs, who are putting together a very special set. The afternoon is topped off with one of Annie’s favourite acts, The Orb, who she championed in the early ’90s, bringing their music to the world.

The celebration then moves to the BBC Introducing Stage after darkness has fallen, for a late-night session going into the early hours. The DJs will be covering the music Annie brought to the world from the ‘90s through to the present day through her show, with Jon Carter playing a set of big beat, the sound that kicked off some of the UK’s biggest dance acts’ careers. Representing Breakbeat and Nu Skool breaks are two of Annie’s favourite DJs, Krafty Kuts and Plump DJs, who will be playing a special back-to-back set. Bringing the latest sounds that Annie loved to discover is Martha, who Annie mentored and is carrying on her legacy discovering new music and giving artists a window to the world.

The Glade Stage lineup 2024 is here!

Beyond excited to be back with our Glade Family this year kicking off with the triumphant return of Faithless.

Faithless recently teased their exciting return to Glastonbury with a Thursday night headline slot at The Glade Stage. With unprecedented hype for their 2024 comeback the band will now be marking their return on an even bigger slot on Friday night, kicking off the weekend with an unforgettable performance.

Highlights include DJ sets from Fatboy Slim, Camelphat, Layla Benitez, Groove Armada, Gok Wan, Carlita, Chris Stussy, Mall Grab and Desiree on the main stage as well as amazing live performances from Goldie, D:REAM, Eva Lazarus, Nubiyan Twist, K-Klass, Henge and Afriquoi. We’re also pleased to announce Dele Sosimi is playing the festival with his Afrobeat Experience 40 years since first performing on the Pyramid with Fela Kuti in 1984.

Highlights on the Glade Dome include IZCO + Liam Bailey playing live, plus DJ sets from Margaret Dygas as well as KILIMANJARO and DJ Rap.
