I originally created the Unity Unicorn costume when I was asked to participate in the official Queens Platinum Jubilee Pageant.
Unity kicked her heels in a 2.5k procession, leading up to Buckingham palace. The procession was full of celebrities and people from every type of sub-culture you can think of, dating back to 1950’s.
It was an amazing experience and one of the most special moments for me was when I saw a little girl, tug her mums arm and said with joy in her eyes, “look mummy there is a Unicorn”.
Unity’s costume has now developed into a bouncy Unicorn on small stilts. She has had quite a few adventures already, and looking to the future, I will developing a children’s party package, with workshops, fun games and diy costumes.
