Storm Darragh arrived in Glenariffe in full flow, when Mother Nature bears down with such force you just have to ride the storm. We have had a tough weekend and we are really saddened to say we have lost 10 trees, mainly from the entrance lane…thankfully Sammy the Sycamore at the front of the house only suffered minor cosmetic damage. On the back of this we have seen the best of people come out and help us when we needed it. We would like to thank all the local farmers, friends & family who came out with chainsaws and brute force. We are going to continue working all week to get the place cleaned up and ready to go for this weekend. Just bear with us for the meantime and excuse our lack of fences for the next few weeks 😃

Owning and running a wedding venue, makes the choosing of a venue to get married in, an interesting prospect. However, our love and passion for Kilmore Country House, made our decision to get married here extremely easy.
Feedback from our weddings usually centres around, fantastic food, top class service and staff, and stunning views. These are the pillars of our business.
Being in the position of a bride and groom however was a new experience and one we found quite surreal. It was however a wonderful opportunity to experience and even critique how it feels to be a guest at Kilmore Country House.
From our decision to hold the ceremony on the beautiful staircase, to the midday indoor Ceilidh, to the combined casual and fine dining menu we chose, we wanted the day to be relaxed, informal, yet professional and seamless. And that is what the team delivered for us.
For us, our wedding in a venue that we know so well and love so much, turned out better than we could have expected and certainly affirmed all the positive feedback we receive.
A huge thank you to the team, including previous team members who returned for the day to assist - you were amazing and went above and beyond. The food was perfection and we felt nothing but pride for our wee piece of heaven in Glenariff and everyone who works there.
To all our couples that have got married with us and for those still to come, I understand why you choose Kilmore Country House.

was our Humanist Celebrant and is the sweetest lady you could ever meet. She made our ceremony the best part of the day, by far.
The lovely Tracy from decorated the venue perfectly. She knew what we wanted, and she made it happen. She has such a talent, and you can’t help but love her bubbly personality.
was our photographer. This beautiful lady won us over the first time we met back in 2017 – it was always going to be her! We asked for candid and casual pictures and that is what she captured for us. We loved her calm and unobtrusive nature.
captured our day perfectly. They were friendly, yet discreet and professional and the video speaks for itself. We love it!
The amazing Dorothy from found the dress. Dorothy is a fabulous lady; she goes above and beyond for everyone. Her honesty and her eye for detail makes her one of the best in the business.
Hair and makeup were provided by the beautiful, skilled ladies and . Calming and professional even when surrounded by chaos – they are both fab.

Here at Kilmore Country House we specialise in making your wedding day one to truly remember. We fell in love with Kilmore House after growing up less than a mile up the road. Since then we have restored the beautiful 17th Century house and transformed it into a boutique Guesthouse and Wedding Venue.

Whether you opt for a traditional, elegant wedding or take a more alternative, quirky approach, we will tailor every aspect of your day. Kilmore Country House is a totally exclusive venue providing a magical setting for your perfect wedding day. And unlike similar venues, we also provide all of your catering so all you need to do is relax and enjoy your wedding day.

Our Ballinluig function room can comfortably accommodate up to 80 guests for dinner with room for extra evening guests. Our marquee weddings can cater for up to 230 guests for dinner with room for extra evening guests up to a total of 300 guests.
