Alan, with the permission of my Mum & Dad & Eve asked me to marry him at my birthday meal on Tuesday. I said YES of course, after getting over the shock and the amount of happy tears lol. 3 years and 1 day to the day we became a couple. 💗
I couldn't believe they all managed to keep it secret from me. Even the restraunt staff were in on it lol.

He did amazing, even picking the most gorgeous platinum & diamond ring with the word Forever inside and giving me a gorgeous wedding planner journal 💗

We decorated this venue for our lovely couples engagement party last year so when we were asked to decorate their wedding at the same venue we were over the moon. Beautiful pinks were the colour theme and they really stood out and brightened the room.
Huge congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Ritchie 💗

My other half loves when i rope him into doing a job for me 🤣 putting our custom made XL hanging baskets for the The Abbotshall up.
Certainly brings a splash of colour. We are currently working on some more for the door front & side which will look fabulous

I have been a bit lazy with our business social media posts lately. To be honest the last couple of months have been a complete whirlwind.
Today till Friday is my last chemotherapy session before my surgery which will hopefully be next month. It's not been an easy ride so far due to some reactions, infections etc I have developed as a result of the treatment. But it could be so much worse so I'm still a wee positive petunia 💪💪

On a business note, Chloe has been doing a fabulous job prepping for all our weddings & Parties coming up over the next few months. I am working as much as I can when I can and I just can't wait to get back to normal.
I'm looking forward to this weekends set up and it will be hard for me not to get stuck in as normal but I will be there doing what I can 💗💗

I am looking forward to getting back to work next week. We have a busy few weeks coming up and even though I am having chemotherapy, I seem to be coping well with it. Although I will be reduced hours, there will always be one of us getting creative, doing deliveries or setting up. We are still very much open for business and We only have a few spaces for balloon decor in June & July left 💗

OK, so this is a bit of a difficult post, but before the jungle drums start, I personally, want to reassure everyone that I am still very much here and still working.

As you know from previous posts I was taken into hospital a few weeks ago. During that week after some investigations, I received the not so great news, that I had cancer. Even that word alone sends fear to everyone, myself included. However, the good news is, that it has been caught early and they are looking to remove and cure 😍
I will be starting chemotherapy next week for 6 weeks then I will be having surgery.
Yes I will need to have down time but I also will not be lying down to this💪💪

What does all this mean for you, my customers?
NOTHING!! ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING stays the same. I will still be working most of the time, but in the times I may have to rest Chloe and the team are just (well almost 🤣🙈) as good as me.
I can whole heartedly assure you that you will receive the same level of service and standards at all times 💗💗

We will be closed next week as Chloe is on Holiday and I have so many appointments.
(I will still be answering emails & enquiries)
After that it will be business as usual, and I will still be in amongst the thick of things 💗

It's been a while since I posted about the business or life in general. I always seem to run out of time. I am sitting working away in the sunshine with a cheeky wee glass of fizz. Planning for our next madness months.
It was great to get back to consultations at the unit yesterday and I'm excited to be working on some new designs for 3 of our lovely couples.
We also have a new member of the team. Chloe joined us at the end of March and is already a huge hit with our couples and myself. I will properly introduce her when im permitted a picture 🙈💗

So I just thought I'd pop in and say Hi, we are still very much here and working away.

I have been meaning to share this for a while!!!! Deborah is next door to me. Her stuff is fantastic. Deborah & her team are very talented. I could easily spend a fortune in her shop!!
We already discussed a few weeks ago about workshops I will be offering in the Autumn, in her workshop area 💗
You are guaranteed a great service and a cuppa and a natter from either of us or if your lucky both of us 🤣🤣

NEWS: Deborah Cameron - Creative Artist (DCCA) wholesale crafting a creative business

Deborah Cameron is a creative artist from Auchtermuchty in Fife, In 2017, she launched her business from a studio at home where she designed and made ceramic goods for the wholesale gift and tourism markets.

Business Gateway Fife has been working with Deborah since 2019, when she went through a period of rapid business growth, shortly after which, COVID meant she had to make allowances for all the tourist shops being closed, where she had 90 stockists across Scotland. During this time she had to develop an alternative retail element to her business by moving sales to online platforms like Etsy and Facebook. In the background she kept good relationships with her trade stockists and worked with them as they re-established post covid. Since then, this side of the business really took off again and in December last year, Deborah made the move into larger premises in Pentland Park in Glenrothes, where she has been able to grow her wholesale business and complement this with a retail shop where people can browse and purchase the giftware and an adjoining craft studio where she can deliver craft classes and workshops.

Deborah told fbm Update, “When COVID hit, the business really went quiet. I decided that I didn’t want to have all my eggs in one basket in the future so developing the craft studio and a retail shop alongside the wholesale side of things felt right. Having navigated the past few years, am very aware of the benefits of having space and time enjoy being creative. The craft studio offers a wide range of beginner classes and workshops for adults allowing people to come and develop their creative skills, as well improving their mental health and wellbeing. I am taking part in central fife open studios later this year and have a plan to create a community art installation which can be sold off and monies reinvested in the studio to allow me to offer as many places as possible free of charge. I am grateful to Catherine and Business Gateway Fife for their advice and support to help me manage the business better.”

She has really made great use of space in the new premises, giving her the opportunity to expand her business and take on additional staff in the future.”
