Proud of this display. Because it’s for a special person. Firstly because High Peak Flooring Ltd is celebrating its upcoming 6th birthday. Yay ! Secondly. My husband. Since opening our flooring business, Nik Pearson has overcome many challenges other than the usual daily business stuff. He has battled through the grief of losing both his parents, which if anybody understands what that’s like, knows it takes more than one day at a time, one foot in front of the other or any other type of quotes and analogies that generally come with losing someone close to you. It takes sheer determination, resilience and a certain strength of character to do more than just show up when you are self employed or have your own business, especially when people and staff are relying on you. Not to mention a fair few dirty tricks campaigns by another business, thrown our way. But the less said about them the better. We stayed in our own lane and got on with it. Remained humble and modest and endeavoured to give the best service we could. But sometimes you have to blow your own trumpet because nobody else is going to do it for you ! Oh and throw in a pandemic just to spice things up !! What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger eh?!!! All this whilst being my rock and biggest supporter too. I love you.
A special shout out to Flynn Pearson who joined the company nearly 4 years ago now and is an exceptional floor layer ( thanks to a good mentor 😜 ) we’re both extremely proud of you and grateful for your hard work every day. I know I can speak on behalf of Nik too when I say we are proud to be a shop on the high street and always grateful for the unwavering support of the great people in this town and surrounding areas. We are going to be doing some fundraising on the 19th October for breast cancer…

There will be lots of fizz and fresh bakes.

Safe to say he’s approached this Race for Life 10k event like the first pic he won’t mind me saying, 😂 but I’m so proud of him 💙 please donate in the link below even a £1 would be fantastic as it’s for a charity close to our hearts. Willow Wood Hospice looked after Flynn’s grandparents towards the end, with such dignity and care. ❤️
