We've moved! 🎉

I've been a little quiet on socials lately, as I've been busy relocating my studio space and I'm now based in LittleMoor Arts & Business Centre, Gladstone St, Glossop.

Absolutely nothing will change for my customers, wedding couples and subscriptions, it's just me finding some extra space to continue to grow the business, and as you can see I'm all set up and ready to go! 💖 Exciting times indeed.

What a dreamy few days creating flowery magic in Wales ✨ I was so thrilled for the chance to work with the lovely Diane from .road, a talented florist whose work I have admired for so long 🌸

While Diane flowered up the hotel where the ceremony would take place, I got to work decorating two mantelpieces and a staircase in the beautiful hall where the bride, groom and their family would be staying. Then, together we created abundant centrepieces for the marquee celebration and adorned the gates to the hall with flowers 💕 Thank you so much Diane for trusting me so implicitly to be your right-hand woman - we made such a great team! 💪

🌸 Last week I had the pleasure of visiting and to take a tour of Sarah's gorgeous cutting patch and collect flowers for a wedding fayre 🌸

💐 The resulting bridal bouquet had everything from scent provided by the mint and fragrant garden roses, to texture from the alchemilla mollis, and the most delicate detail from the grasses and tiny bell-shaped flowers that slowly turned from white to pink. So beautiful, and just in time for British Flower Week 🫶 Thank you ladies for the most stunning flowers!

I couldn't let Earth Day pass without marking it in some way, especially as I try to run my business with sustainability in mind ♻️ Choosing British-grown flowers in the spring and summer, being mindful of the packaging I use, composting organic waste and avoiding floral foam are all central values.

Is it perfect? Absolutely not, I don't claim to be and I'm always looking for ways to improve. But if everyone tried to take the steps they could towards reducing their carbon footprint, even just a little, imagine the impact that could have on the planet 🌍

Between holiday club pick-ups and play dates for the kids, housework and life admin and creating things for my customers, there's very little time to create something just for me 🤦🏻‍♂️

But one thing I HATE is waste, so when these beauties were leftover from a recent photo shoot I just knew I couldn't let them rot away unseen in my studio. Some were given to the local care home for the residents to enjoy, and the rest were used to create this wreath, which has been created on a 12" moss base 🌸

I literally threw it together in the space of about half an hour before having to get back for my biggest boys returning home from holiday club. But, I quite like how that's contributed to its wildness. It's been left on my studio door for now for passersby to see the pretty up close (and let's be honest, it's also a good way to showcase my skills!) and then in a day or two, before it's faded, it'll be going on my front door for ME to enjoy. Definitely something I need to find the time to do more of 🙌

💐 When I got married over 12 years ago, I didn't have a clue what I wanted from my wedding flowers! I knew the colour palette, but I had no idea which flowers would produce those colours, what to ask for, which flowers I liked and disliked, or even which flowers were in season at the time of the wedding! 🤷

♥️🩷 Pinks & reds 🩷♥️

I love designing with deep colours and funky palettes, it's so much fun! 🫶 One recent fave has to be this pink & red combo, a colour scheme that looks like it's going to be popular with brides this year.

I brought black into this to give it an edgier look, but it could just as easily be softened up with baby pink astilbe or given a fun twist with the addition of some pops of fuchsia accent flowers.

Capturing magic at Standon Hall ✨ This styled shoot was all about dainty detail in whites and creams for the florals 🤍 From the frilly roses and ranunculus of the bouquet to the froth of the babies breath centrepieces, it all came together to create a classic look.
