PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
Joseph Bolton

Joseph had an outstanding 2024 season for Glossop CC, excelling across all levels!

Batting: Scored 520 runs across all teams, with a standout knock of 47 runs in the U15s County Cup semi-final against Swarkestone. He averaged 22 for the U15s and an incredible 60 for the U13s.

Bowling: He also took 21 wickets at an average of 17.81, proving himself to be a key all-rounder.

Fielding: Joseph was a standout in the field with 12 victims (6 catches and 6 run-outs), showcasing his sharp reflexes and game awareness.

Awards: Joseph capped off his season by winning the prestigious GCC Presidents Award and U15 Clubman, a testament to his contributions on and off the field.

Joseph’s all-round brilliance and commitment to the club were key to Glossop CC’s success in 2024! 👏

Please feel free to join us at any point in the route, no need to start from the club.
The walk is open to EVERYONE. Juniors, seniors, partners, family, friends, dogs etc. The more the merrier, all are welcome. It’s a good chance to get out in the open, catch up, keep fit etc.

The walk will begin at 12 pm, starting from Glossop CC. Breakfast barms, teas and coffees, cakes served from 11 am. Upon return the bar will be open and we will put some hot food on.

We will also hold another football super 10 that day (similar to Sky's Super 6....). £5 per entry. The winner and runner up to take pot. The winner last time was Chris Morris, with Andy Wilde and Nathan Allen joint runners up.

*Suitable walking boots, clothing and equipment recommended*

🔦PLAYER SPOTLIGHT🔦 JOE DOODY

Joe had a stellar 2024 season with the club Under 15s and our Senior Teams. Joe’s all-round brilliance made him an integral part of Glossop CC's success this season 👏

Wickets: Joe took an impressive 9 wickets for the U15s at an average of 15, and a grand total of 53 wickets across all teams and formats. His left-arm spin was a game-changer all season.

Batting: Joe can be destructive with the bat, turning matches around with his aggressive stroke play.

Fielding: Joe led the team in fielding, taking the most catches/run outs for the U15s and making crucial run-outs, proving to be a gun fielder.

Awards: Man of the Match honours in the GMCL Champion of Champions final and subsequently voted Players' Player of the Year at the 2024 presentation.

Glossop Cricket Club is excited to welcome 18-year-old Tom Lane, fresh from Old Glossop’s 2024 Bissenden Cup victory in the Derbyshire and Cheshire League! 🏆

Tom is one of the league’s top young prospects, taking 38 wickets last season at an incredible average of 13.61. With his wicket-taking skills, dangerous batting ability and cup-winning experience, he’s ready to make an impact at North Road as we build a future-focused squad for the GMCL. 💪
