I think this is my most awaited wedding in years, Suzie’s my beautician so we spent a couple of years chatting about her flowers, I’ve also decorated every inch of her salon and even held workshops there! Shes become someone special to me and one of my businesses biggest supporters so It was a huge honour and pleasure to create for her and George on their beautiful day🤍

On top of this all my favourites were also adding their huge talent behind the scenes and it was a joy to work with them all again.

I’m going to break all the rules today and post twice in a few minutes, because I really don’t care anymore and have decided to use this space as a portfolio of my favourite work and todays piece is so special to me.

Earlier this year the magnificent contacted me to create a headpiece for her wedding day, she sent me her ideas and had two main stipulations to the brief that it should compliment the embroidery of her beautiful dress ( minus purple) and that she would send me her late aunts headpiece to incorporate into the crown.

Honestly I love working with vintage pieces but the pressure of carefully cutting up such a precious piece is wild!

Luckily we both absolutely loved the piece and there was enough left for some hair wires too!

Melissa was an absolute joy to create for she gave me a light brief and just let me do my thing. One of the things she’d really wanted was Sunflowers but unfortunately they’re a bit of a no go for drying ( unless you’re really going for a vintage cottage core vibe)

So we went with a very natural spring summer palette and used craspedia and buttercups to bring in those pops of yellow💛

There are times when I have to have hard conversations and tell a couple I just can’t dry or source their favourite flowers because some flowers just don’t make good looking Zombies but there are more times that I find a way or source an alternative and those times are my favourites ✨

Beautiful Victoria and Adam eloped from America to Scotland for a week long celebration of their love with a small group of their friends and family and it just couldn’t have been more perfect. 🍂

I’m so proud to say that around 40% of my couples are now elopement’s from around the world! The majority heading to my favourite places in the Scottish highlands and stunning Outer Hebrides.

I arrange the flowers to be delivered to the venue/photographers so that they are ready and waiting for when they arrive!

If we can topple those numbers to 60 % I think I’ll just finally move to The Highlands and then I can hand deliver … makes sense right ✨

Thank you so much to everyone that joined me yesterday for the winter meadow workshops. You were all amazing ✨ It’s always so lovely to see how even though the ingredients on offer are similar everyone creates something so different. Images of pieces made in the comments….
