A lovely review from a recent home venue wedding for the lovely M & D.

'We’d like to say thank you so much to you and the entire team for all their efforts for our marquee wedding on Saturday 27th July. Literally nothing was too much trouble and they all kept smiles on their faces all day long. An absolute credit to you.

Of course, we have to mention the food- INCREDIBLE! Thank you! Each and every guest said the food was sublime and we agree! It’s crazy it all came out of that tent! Most of us would struggle to deliver such in our own kitchens let alone a tent in the garden!

You have all been fantastic from the very first word and all the way through, we could not have chosen better caterers!’

Following a wonderful BBQ Hut Menu for a Glamping wedding for E &R we were delighted to receive this review.

"Matt, Tania and the team are truly fabulous! We highly recommend The Cotswold Caterer. Tania was wonderful from initial enquiry and knew what we needed to make our day special more than we did. Tania had brilliant suggestions. Tania was warm and friendly during the virtual planning meeting. The team made us feel very comfortable. I would recommend to other LGBTQ+ couples planning their wedding.

Matt was the only chef we found who was prepared to use the BBQ hut at Cotswold Woodland Glamoing without having visitted the site before. This was exactly what we wanted. The smells wafting from the BBQ hut were incredible. The food tasted delicious and we had so many compliments from our guests. Perfect for an intimate family wedding. The team were very accomodating and flexible on the day. They set up with no fuss and very few questions which enabled us to enjoy our day.”

We are having such a wonderful Summer season. 🌞

We have had such fabulous couples for our wedding catering and we are receiving lovely feedback which we plan to share over the coming weeks.

We start with the very start of the season- Huge thanks to H & R for trusting us with their wedding at the wonderful The Barn at Upcote

"My husband and I booked The Cotswold Caterer for our wedding, as we knew we didn't want conventional / traditional food for our very relaxed, intimate day - we opted for the Firecage BBQ for mains and the mac & cheese for the evening.
Tania, Matt and the team couldn't have been more helpful. Every step of the way Tania was so lovely and open to any request, really good communication throughout the whole process. They have packages and menus, but always say these are open to our suggestions - as we are going to Italy on our honeymoon, we asked for Italian canapes, for which they gave us bespoke choices, all delicious.
The team even did a food tasting at our venue for couples getting married there, which was so special to spend an evening in the place we were to have our big day and also get to taste the delicious food in advance, helping us to finalise our choices!
On the day, Matt and the team were incredible from start to finish, working hard behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly. Not only that, but the team were all so lovely to us and our guests, and as for the food - INCREDIBLE! Everyone was saying how delicious all of it was, we couldn't be happier.
Matt was also very lovely when our speeches accidentally ran over by 20 minutes (a long father of the bride speech!!)
All in all, we would highly recommend The Cotswold Caterer and the amazing team for any event.”

STARTERS
Traditional prawn cocktail
A layered classic of prawns, crisp iceberg lettuce, tomato, and cucumber concasse and our own blend Marie rose sauce, served in a glass with buttered sliced sourdough.

Creamy wild mushroom and Parmigiano thermidor
Wild mushrooms flamed with Courvoisier than brought together in a rich creamy Parmigiano sauce.

MAINS
Slow braised Cotswold lamb shoulder
16 hour slow braised Cotswold shoulder of lamb braised in a redcurrant, Malbec and mint liquor served with fondant potato, braised red cabbage, carrot and celeriac puree and wilted buttered kale.

Roasted beetroot, watercress and smoked Applewood cheddar risotto
Locally sourced beetroot roasted in balsamic reduction folded into Arborio risotto rice finished with watercress and smoked Applewood cheddar.

DESSERTS
Chocolate fondant and cookie dough soil.
A rich chocolate fondant on cookie dough soil with salted caramel sauce and white chocolate shavings.
