Vacancy – Full-Time Event Staff
Major Entertainments LTD are a thriving events business offering a range of production & hire services to both private and trade customers.
We are looking for someone new to join our event / technical staff to support the warehouse team in the preparation, delivery, set-up and collection of hire equipment.
Your main roles and responsibilities will be:
- Delivery & set-up of equipment in accordance with job plans and client/venue instructions
- Liaise with clients & venues on site
- Assist clients with loading & unloading of hires
- Check for shortages & damages to hire stock
- Cleaning hire stock and test for functionality and safety
- Keep warehouse clean & tidy
- Represent the company and /or its clients at all times
The right candidate will be:
- Hardworking and enthusiastic
- Well-presented, friendly and approachable
- Over 21 years old
- Physically able to lift heavy items
- A keen interest in events, sound, visuals and lighting would be an advantage
- ideally, a clean driving license, held for more than 1 year
Hours of work: 32 Hours contracted including weekend and evening work as required/discussed
Overtime available most weeks
Location: Warehouse and office based in Tuffley, Gloucester

During the crazy summer months, Major Entertainment LTD would like to add another member of staff to the crew.
This would be good for a student looking for work over the summer or someone looking for a more permanent role.
Looking for someone to work 5 days a week over the busy summer period with an opportunity for the right person to stay on after this period
Must be able to get to our warehouse in Tuffley just off Bristol Road Gloucester.
Must be over 21 years old and have more than 12 months driving experience (Clean license preferred)
Work would include setting up event equipment from Stages, Lighting, TVs, Dance floors and lots more, This will also include warehouse work from cleaning equipment and prepping kit.

What a fun weekend our crew have just had at Fantasy Forest with the Fantasy Forest Community
Major Entertainment LTD had the pleasure to provide 8 stages, lots of lighting, lots of crew, truss entrance, lots and lots of sound systems all over the site, 2 x top hat marquees, 2 x generators with some power distribution plus lots more
Just a few areas we worked on include
Dream stage
Dragon steam
Steam stage
Wasteland stage
Castle stage
Galaxy stage
Royal stage
Orchestra stage
Communal area stage
Big thanks to all our amazing crew that kept everything sounding and looking amazing
And thanks to Fantasy Forest Festival 2024 for using us again this year and asking us to supply even more kit than last year
