Hello my name is Glenda Procter – welcome to my page! I create, write and conduct ceremonies. I also train, coach and tutor celebrants to do what I have done. Green and glorious or elegant and romantic, in castle, stately home, field or a

BLUE STONES in the Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire.

The Preselis have Special Area of Conservation status, and there are three sites of special scientific interest.

I was lucky enough to seek out and visit all three on my recent short stay to Newport. An area of AONB in western Wales.

This site has in recent years been identified as the source of the Stonehenge Bluestones. Known to have originated and ‘ somehow’ been transported 140 miles to Stonehenge 5,000 years ago. There are many theories and speculation as to how this was done… lost to living memory.

Sitting on this huge monolithic slab laying on the ground, was indeed a huge life experience. Preseli blue stone is quite rare and beautiful.

Healing: Preseli Bluestone is believed to have healing properties, particularly for the throat, solar plexus, and third eye chakras.

What a wonderful experience.

A water course ran close by and leylines crossed within feet of the rocky outcrop.

Pregnancy Blessings Circle
Having a Vision… to create a ceremony space.

👀My vision was the space under a magnificant willow tree in my daughter’s garden.
💖The occasion was the gathering of ladies for a Pregnancy Blessing for my beautiful daughter.

The planning took a few weeks!
✔️Mow area
✔️Mow again!
✔️Rake
✔️Rake again…

🌹Layout boundary rope to mark circle.
❣️Position chairs.
🌹Find suitable ceremony logs.
🌹Put in metal stakes for bunting
❣️Hang soft muslins in hanging branches of tree
🌹Decorate tree trunk with muslins and roses
❣️Decorate chairs set aside for mother and mother in law!
🌹Place suitable white cloth on metal table
❣️Put velvet cloth on low log used for table
🌹Find elements for elements Earth Air Fire Water.

Swing!
Order rope and repaint and vanish swing
Decorate with white roses and sheepskin!

Oh! And so many other little things!

I was in my element planning and creating, writing and organising and ensuring my daughter had the best experience ever!💖🌹

Voted for by the many lovely couples I have Handfast this year.
Wonderful memories of elegant venues, Stonehenge, Glastonbury Festival and Englands Medieval Festival…. So many joyous couples in love celebrating the length of time they have been together, a committed to be together or a recent legal union. For many marriage is not yet an option for them but a Handtying truly unites them in their hearts and souls.

Pembrokeshire. West Wales.
Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber or the Floating stone.
Good to be back to this ancient stone wonder… some 5,000 year old…. Build from bluestone.

There are many interpretation of what the stones have been used for, that range from burials and ritual use.
The floating capstone is estimated to weigh 16 tonnes😳
Unlike most ancient monuments it’s lovely to get close and feel the stones.

Pentre Ifan’s sense of mystery is heightened by its surroundings and backdrop. Its outline neatly frames the Preseli Hills towering above, source of the famous Pembrokeshire ‘bluestones’ that went into the making of Stonehenge as well as Pentre Ifan itself.

A hello to the group, as we say goodbye to the summer season of Festivals in 2024.

I have had one of my best festival years and am already planning 2025!

There is no doubt in my mind how I want to spend my summers! Festivals are for me! The sheer joy of being outside and meeting so many lovely couples.’

I am done with giving up every weekend for a for a Wedding. Travelling miles and staying in hotels.
I have conducted 80 marriages a year as a registrar in AMP venues…

Time for a change of profile photograph. Following a very busy summer of Festival Handtyings I ended my summer- season with a Pregnancy Blessing for my beautiful daughter.
I have chosen this photo as my new profile to remind me of all the LOVE I am so privileged to be so close to during my celebrancy work.

A Mothers Blessing Ceremony created for my daughter’s baby shower.
All the women were invited to gather together under the willow tree in the garden.
I started by cleansing the area and everyone with burning white sage.
🌹Every lady entered with a white rose and placed it in a vase already filled with red roses. These were gifts from them to Vanessa. The crystal vase also represented a clear vision ahead and the flowers for her to enjoy long after the closing of the day.
🌹Each of the blessings from the elements was delivered by one of Vanessa’s good friends. In a break from tradition and creating a new one for my daughter ( I bought four small gifts ) each element gave her unborn child a gift!
Earth blessed Vanessa with Himalayan salt
and gave Vanessa a Gruffalo worm!

That’s what celebrants do!
Create new rituals evolving and adding new ones to old ones with modern interpretations.

Englands Medieval Festival Taking part in the morning parade today, was so thrilling. The throngs of visitors had arrived early and were queuing at the gates, on what promised to be a fine day of clear skys and no rain. Once I had mastered the technique of avoiding overhanging branches all was well. So mote it be. On my bike! Post surgery 6weeks…

I do not call myself a priestess, goddess or white witch! However, amidst the hussle and craziness of Glastonbury town, there are many places that offer quiet solitude and time for reflection. The Chalice Garden was one but we also visited the beautiful space created in the Goddess Centre. 🙏We spent some quality time together in the welcoming calm of the sacred space. 🙏We lit a candle to light the world and remember our ancestors. 🙏We offered thanks and prayers for those in need. 💕I drew a card from a beautiful deck… the message was most significant on my birthday.
