🎄 Gloucester Gift of Goodies Update! 🎄

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we've gathered 190 Cadbury's selection boxes so far, with more on the way! This means we have many chocolatey treats to distribute in the run-up to Christmas.

🎁 Last Call for Gloucester Gift of Goodies Donations! 🎁

The donation window is almost closing, and we’re about to begin distributing the selection boxes we’ve collected. A huge THANK YOU to Tesco Churchdown, who generously donated 20 selection boxes today. Special shoutout to Alice, Brad, and the whole team for their incredible support!

We’re now inviting suggestions for benefactors to receive these treats. Our priority is to work with community causes that already support those most in need, ensuring the selection boxes reach those who might otherwise go without.

📩 If you run a charity or group supporting disadvantaged families, please get in touch. While you can nominate individuals, our focus is on connecting with organizations that know their communities best.

Today, we said goodbye to a truly remarkable person. Tim, if it wasn’t for your kindness and willingness to help, Apex Fireworks simply wouldn’t exist today.

You were the catalyst that turned our little dream into a reality, and we’ll always be grateful for the support you gave us from the very start. Being able to pay our respects today alongside hundreds of others shows just how loved and cherished you were.

Taken far too soon and truly irreplaceable, your impact will be felt forever. Rest in peace, Tim. Thank you for your kindness, your help, and your belief in us.

There will undoubtedly be many more “crappy bonfires” in your honor—I’m sure you’d approve.

This Christmas, we’re coming together to bring a little sweetness and joy to local residents and charities across Gloucester! We’re launching The Gloucester Gifts of Goodies, and we need your help to make it happen.

We’re inviting local businesses and generous residents to donate small chocolate selection boxes that we’ll collect and distribute to families and charities in need before Christmas. With a little support, we can make sure that more people in our community get to enjoy a festive treat.

An official statement from Apex Events Team and Apex Fireworks regarding a complaint from an audience member at our Quedgeley display on Saturday.

“At Apex Events Team Ltd and Apex Fireworks, we pride ourselves on creating fireworks displays and events that are not only spectacular but also give back to the communities we serve. Our core commitment is to make fireworks more acceptable, accessible, and beneficial to charities, community groups, and other organisations we can help, such as local businesses, all while keeping costs down. By maintaining a small, dedicated team and leveraging modern technology, we enable these groups to redirect funds into their missions, maximizing the positive impact within their communities.

Our creative approach allows us to deliver events with broad appeal, introducing fresh experiences to audiences while supporting local charities, such as James Hopkins Trust, The Redwell Centre, and Heart Heroes, as we have this year. Additionally, we work with youth sports clubs to boost fundraising, collaborate with PTAs facing insurance challenges, and involve local businesses to keep our events deeply rooted in the community.

We’re also pioneering a youth initiative, the first of its kind in the UK, that educates young people on fireworks safety through STEM-aligned sessions, underscoring our commitment to safety and awareness.

In this recent event, an unfortunate error in our AI-driven music obfuscation technology allowed some inappropriate language to pass through. Despite extensive precautions and manual checks, this oversight occurred, and we sincerely apologize for any offence caused. As a family-oriented company, we fully understand the importance of maintaining family-friendly standards, and the families of our team, including our young children, attend these events.

We are actively reviewing our processes to prevent similar issues in the future. We strive to provide experiences honouring the community and uphold the highest safety, creativity, and respect standards. While we occasionally make mistakes, our focus on community, safety, and giving back remains unwavering, and we are committed to continually improving. An example is the nearly 2 minutes of remembrance segment in the Quedgeley display. Delicate red-hanging fireworks gently cascaded through the sky to the haunting yet poignant tune of the last post. This display has always given a nod to those brave servicemen and women, and we wanted this display to highlight that respectfully but more obviously than in the past. Overall, we would like to be remembered for our positive and inclusive actions rather than the honest mistakes we regret.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year as we work to bring joy, innovation, and positive impact to our communities. Lastly, I apologise to anyone who may have been offended by the regrettable inclusion of language that has fallen short of our family-friendly standards. We got it wrong, and we are sorry."

If you are thinking of attending this display, please note the important information kindly shared by our friends at Quedgeley Town Council.

The event is for the benefit of the community and so we ask anyone travelling by car especially to consider parking at Severnvale School and be mindful of residents and driveways.

Whilst every effort is made to make this event run smoothly, challenges do occur and so we ask for your patience at all times.

Can’t wait to see you tomorrow for one of the last bonfire night shows of the year.

Some important details about our Firework Display so please take a few minutes to read this if you are thinking of coming along or have purchased tickets in advance:
If you are driving, there is free parking at Severnvale School and Quedgeley Community Centre and if you cannot park at either of those, we urge you to park considerately please and this year we have additional resources who will be monitoring the street parking.
Cash is preferred on entry. There will be a card machine but only one so if you pay by card be prepared for a long queue. Cash will gain you entry much quicker.
Prices on the night - £4.00 per adult, £3.00 per child.
Please look out for anyone in High Viz as they were will be there to assist you.
Gates open at 5pm and the firework display will commence at 7pm prompt and at 7pm the gate will close altogether.
The road outside Fishers Meadow will close between 7.15pm - 7.45pm to allow safe exit of the field and there will be road closure signs in place.
There will be no more tickets available, it will be strictly pay on the gate on the night. We have been overwhelmed by ticket sales this year.
Danters Fun Fair will be there as normal providing rides and refreshments and you can pay either with cash or card.
Anyone wishing to avoid this display altogether, the fireworks will be let off promptly at 7pm and will last no longer than 20 minutes with our normal respects to Armistice Day included within the display.
Facebook private messages will not be answered. All the information you need is provided.
All that it leaves us to say is we wish you all a fantastic community event and wear your wellies!! Thanks to Apex Events Team for running this event for us this year. 🧨🧨

FAQ: Gunpowder Plot Fireworks Event

Get ready for a night of fun, food, and fantastic fireworks at Gloucester Academy for our much-anticipated Gunpowder Plot event! Here’s everything you need to know before you go:

1. Entrance Location:
All event access is via the Cotteswold Road Staff Car Park Entrance at Gloucester Academy School. Please note that there is no entry through Norbury Avenue, Painswick Road, or Saintbridge Club.

2. Parking & Transport:
There is no parking onsite. We respectfully ask all visitors to consider walking, using public transport, or parking sensibly in nearby areas without blocking roads or driveways.

3. Tickets:
Save money by purchasing your tickets online in advance! Tickets bought on arrival will have a premium price.

4. Cash Only at the Fairgrounds:
Please bring cash if you’d like to enjoy the funfair, as it will be cash-only for all rides and stalls.

5. Safety First - No Sparklers:
For everyone’s safety, sparklers are not permitted at the event.

6. Ear Defenders for Little Ones:
We recommend ear defenders for young children to ensure a comfortable experience during the fireworks.

7. Food Village & Bar:
A fantastic range of food and drinks will be available from our Food Village and Bar—plenty to keep you warm and satisfied throughout the night.
