Public shout out to today’s ’Willow Christmas Door Wreath’ designers! 🙌 🌲(fully compostable, but me thinks it’ll be some time before they reach the compost heap!!)
The day started with a stunning sunrise - then everyone arrived, grabbed a brew and lots of chatting ensued!… after a short demo, everyone surprised themselves by crafting a gorgeous chunky willow ring and then bound half with lush winter greens to create a stylised garland shape - some natural decorations were added and hey presto!!

Ps - I know picture 3 has an empty vase! ….I am a pro and filled vase 124 (1 of 154) with purple-pink Clematis but the pic is a nice one!

Great to welcome 7 new flower artistes to the ‘Autumn Cascade’ workshops yesterday and today! You all did great!.. in spite of thinking you might not…
I always love the buzz everyone gets when they stand back and see what they’ve achieved.
I hope to see you at the next workshop on the 4th and 5th October when we will create a ‘Pave (pa-ve like in French) Design’ - its low level with a multitude of natural textures.

Today (and tomorrow) at the Flower School we created a cool P***y Willow Easter egg 🥚.. all natural free-range beauty..
13 ladies today and 12 tomorrow.. good thing is that the stunning Chincherinchee flowers will be well open next weekend (Easter) and will easily last 2.5 - 3 weeks… the p***y willow will dry and it can then be placed on a patio
Good value right?

Paphiopedilum X Leeanum and Leucospermum ‘Soleil’ - Latin botanical beauties! …Lady’s slipper orchid and pin-cushion both at the height of their flowering season and quality!
Ps - I did study 4 years to become a Dutch Master Florist - I’ve worked and taught in Holland, Japan, Taiwan, Hong-Kong, Belgium,France, USA, Canada and Barbados- I ‘ve won Gold and Florist of the Year at Chelsea, I was Artistic Director at Wi******er Cathedral Flower Festival, I’ve won First - the Creativity Award and the ‘Most Innovative Exhibit’ at the World Flower Arranging Show’ and I’ve been the floral design supplier for a well-known theatre composer - you’d think I was God’s gift to the flower world…
Naaaah.. I’m not!
But I sometimes want to say that to folks who, when I tell them I’m a florist ask me if you can study for that 😂
