A New Chapter begins at Grand Jour

Hi there all 2025 and the occasional, organised 2026 bride!

As the new year begins, so too does a flurry of excitement and wedding planning and the continued creation of Jess’s beloved Grand Journey Bridal Boutique!

I’m excited to be connecting with you all over the next few days, weeks and months, if I haven’t already!

This is an exciting time for many reasons: meeting new couples at fayres, getting to know brides, selecting new dresses from our amazing design houses, inspiring confident dress choices, and offering a solid and caring service. There are just so many firsts ahead of us all this year!

So that you can put a face to a name, I’ve reluctantly attached an historical photo of Jess’s mum, Ali, and I. I’ve followed Jess’s journey and hope to do her proud.

*A NEW ERA BEGINS FOR GRAND JOUR*

As many will know, for a while now I have been looking for the right person to take over from me at Grand Jour. I am so pleased to be able to share the news that I have found that person! Tess will be taking over the reins from 1st January and we have been working together for the last couple of months to make sure the transition period is a smooth one.

I have to admit, I am so full of emotions! Grand Jour has been a huge part of my life for 12 years - we really have built something wonderful and I have had the privilege of working with literally thousands of brides over that time – I can’t quite believe it even as I write this! I am so unbelievably proud of what we have created and achieved, but I’m also very excited to see what the future holds as I know that Tess is going to take what we have built and make it even more amazing as she has the time to dedicate, that I just don’t now have with 3 young children. Tess is absolutely ready to throw herself in and immerse herself in all things Grand Jour and the wedding industry, with Emily, Claire, Tania and myself supporting her all the way.

So as much as this is the end of an era for me, it is the start of a great adventure for Tess, and the best thing for the future of Grand Jour, the wonderful team, and for GJ brides, present and future! I will be right behind Tess, her biggest cheerleader!

And I will of course be keeping an eye out for wedding photos from all the brides who have dresses currently with us ❤️

As everyone toasts the new year, we will be raising a glass to Grand Jour – the incredible journey continues…
