Last week I had a lovely day in my workshop, creating arrangements for in a selection of their vases, using all flowers grown here on the farm.
This is the ‘Suzanne’ vase and was my favourite to work with, creating a big blousey pastel display 🌸

My rose arch is finally in bloom, which reminded me to search out one of my favourite photos, taken in 2020.
She is a little bigger now, but is still always to be found in her wellies and a frock - just like her mama 👗🌸☺️

The flowers are blooming, the seedlings are mainly getting eaten by slugs 😕 and there are still lots of seeds germinating.

I am getting a lot of enquiries from DIY brides for the year ahead and it made me realise this is a service you might not know we offer (…because I am not very good at shouting about things 🙄)

During flower season we can offer mixed bucket selections for you to arrange at home - so if you have a wedding or indeed any special occasion, a dinner party, or you simply want to fill your house with flowers - buckets are for you.

💙 Blue Monday 💙
I’ve been a bit absent on here. I’ve fallen out of love with Instagram a bit, I don’t find it the healthiest of places to be. But I am trying hard to get my mojo back.

In flower news, everything is growing well (I won’t talk about whatever had a feast on my ranunculus though 🙄) and the brighter days and beautiful blooms cannot come some enough 💐🤞🏻

💐The Class of 2021 💐
That’s a wrap for Sussex Meadow flowers this year.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us this season. I am always so honoured when people choose our flowers. I have definitely noticed so many more people deliberately seeking out British blooms and that is a wonderful thing.

This season was challenging - ask anyone who grows anything! (Don’t ask my dad though, no-one needs those levels of grumpy farmer 😳)

Now I start the work on putting everything to bed and tending to next year’s blooms who are already sprouting well.

And then there are soaps, candles and wreaths to make, so no such thing as an off season. Let’s go…..

Two more weeks until the end of our flower season. The flowers are starting to grow weary, as am I.

It has been a very tough year for growers but we’ve made it through and I already have lots of little seedlings ready for next season. And just like that, here we go again…… 💐

The sweet pea seeds are coming!

It is such a pretty and peaceful place to escape to, nestled on our farm in the West Sussex countryside.

If you are looking to take a break with friends or another family, you are able to book both huts and have the whole field to yourselves.

The huts are solar-powered and eco-friendly and both have bathrooms. Take a look at the listings for full spec.

💗Our little hut in the meadow💗
It is so peaceful and idyllic here - tucked away on our 600-acre farm in the beautiful West Sussex countryside. Guests end their evenings under the stars, toasting marshmallows and awake to the sound of birdsong whilst looking out on the wildflowers.

In the next few weeks we will have a second hut at the other end of the field (currently being crafted by ) which means two families can have a lovely holiday together, with all that space to themselves. Each hut sleeps 4.

Playing catch-up 🌸
This photo was was taken last year, 3 weeks earlier than today’s date. The lilac was abundant. But this year it isn’t yet here - it’s behind. Which is how I feel in every aspect of work; eternally behind. But I am so happy that my days are filled with flowers, building this little business into every it deserves to be....and that’s the best thing to focus on when it all feels a bit much 💐
