If you're looking for a unique and original gift for a special occasion, head over to Square Bear Music, where they can make you a song in any style. Provide them with some details and they'll do the rest. Their service is amazingly inexpensive, and, if I'm booked to do a disco for that occasion, they'll send me a copy to play. Just let them know.

On Thursday, Beatwave Mobile Disco provided the disco for a wedding at the beautiful Carlton Towers. I used my rustic booth, with the bride and groom's initials in the crates. It blows my mind that this was someone's house back in day.

2 very different parties this weekend. First was a joint birthday at The Capricorn, Goole. Space was limited and I ended up using one of the smallest set-ups I've done. Still perfectly functional and worked perfectly in the space. Saturday was the most complex set-up I've ever done at The Grange, Airmyn. 12 lights, 8 of which were computer controlled and the others sound activated. A smoke machine and laser finished this set-up, which looked amazing at night. Still some availability for the back end of the year and Christmas parties.

The old birthday booth was getting a bit tired. I've been experimenting with this booth and came up with this. This is now available for all birthdays at no extra cost.

Congratulations Louise and Josh on your engagement. This was the first of 4 weeks in a row for me at The Capricorn Event & Wedding Venue. The rustic set looks really nice in here. Just a 4 hour party, which followed the usual pattern. The first couple of hours, people are coming in, having their first drinks and catching up with friends. Nobody is usually bothered about dancing, so I'm playing middle of the road music and looking out for heads nodding and feet tapping. The third hour is usually where the first people start getting up to dance. Now I switch to the party tunes, with the old favourites like the macarena and cha cha slide. Heading into the fourth hour and the dancefloor fills up and before we know it, it's time to call time. I have to admit, I was enjoying myself so much, I carried on for a few more records!

A quick and simple set up for the local women's football team presentation night. Played an hour extra for them because it was a vibe!

2 surprise 50th birthday parties this weekend. First at the Capricorn, where I used my new rustic booth, which blended in perfectly with the venue. The second at The Peacock, which was a great vibe with music from all eras.
