Late Summer was a bit of a washout when it came to outdoor ceremonies, what should have been a gorgeous ceremony in the Walled Garden had to turn into a gorgeous ceremony in the Morning Room, luckily, even on the most miserable of days this room has tonnes of natural lighting creating a warm and inviting space

With any of our ceremony florals and styling, we like to make sure that whatever we would use outside still works if the ceremony is brought inside. For Chloe and Sam’s wedding we used 4 pedestal arrangements, 2 at the back of the aisle and 2 at the front, a floral signing table arrangement, aisle runner with petals either side, our favourite double tied chair sashes finished with a white rose and foliage at the tie point for the aisle chairs and the other guests chairs were styled with a single drop chair sash.

Most couple’s will know that planning a wedding isn’t an easy task however planning a wedding when you live around 9,500 miles away makes it that little bit harder! However when you know you can leave it all in your supplier’s hands’ then it takes the pressure off their shoulders and onto ours instead

Having met with Sam and Chloe (and Chloe’s lovely parents) only a handful of times and having mood boards to go from, the pressure really was on to get the bridal flowers right for the day.

Chloe chose to have a traditional teardrop style for her bouquet but didn’t want anything too wild that would take over her petite frame, we used gorgeous white roses (for a nod to Yorkshire), spray roses, lisianthus and a touch of waxflower along with ruscus, eucalyptus (for a nod to Australia) and fern foliages. We then arranged two handtied style bouquets in the same florals for the Adult and Junior Bridesmaid, which stood our perfectly against their soft toned dresses

Sam and the gents wore a classic black tux, we arranged single white roses for their buttonholes to keep in with the traditional style of the day

The Venue
As we mentioned in our ceremony post, we are big fans of re-using arrangements in other areas to get the most for your day, so here we are to show you how we re-used the aisle arrangements around the venue after the ceremony.

As soon as the guests had left the ceremony area we whipped in and ran (I really do mean RAN) 4 of the arrangements from the aisle around to the front entrance of Saltmarshe Hall, ready for the new Mr and Mrs to have their photo’s in front of. The other arrangements styled their table plan signage which hung from our gold frame.

Greeting the guests was our smaller gold frame with the couples Welcome Sign, as they made their way further in to the main Hall we arranged florals at the bottom of the staircase, a perfect backdrop for Chloe’s first look with her Dad

Wedding Breakfast
We kept the Morning Room at Saltmarshe Hall clean and simple, which allowed the newlyweds to be able to see all their loved ones on the surrounding tables.

For their centrepieces we used the bridesmaids bouquets in our low cylinder vases and arranged a few extra’s to match for the remaining tables. A touch of n**e was brought to the edge of the tables using our champagne coloured napkins, finished with a favour and name setting. All the chairs in the room were styled with our single chiffon drop and tied with a champagne ribbon to complete the look

Ceremony - Outdoor ceremonies are always my faves, there’s just something about the setting that just hits right

For Chloe and James we headed down to the Lime Tree Avenue which was perfectly sheltered for the slightly overcast day that was in store for us. Not that you would be able to tell from these photos, yet again I’ve struggled to pick only 10 to show you all!

Chloe had seen our hanging florals and aisle arrangements and knew that this would make a romantic ceremony setting, paired with our aisle runner and single drop chair sashes we love how this turned out for them.

Anyone who knows us, knows that we can’t stand wasted arrangements, so stay tuned to check our how we repurposed the ceremony florals into the rest of the day...

I feel like I’m always playing catch up with our wedding posts, but it’s so nice to look back on Summer weddings and reminisce!

Chloe and James

Classic whites and greens with a touch of n**e, our most popular colour palette of 2023, yet each one was different to the next

Chloe held a hand-tied bouquet with lots of textures and eucalyptus foliages, including just a hint of n**e to make her bouquet stand out from the bridesmaids without taking away from her stunning dress
The bridesmaids wore white dresses and carried a bouquet of all white florals with plenty of grey/green foliages, a smaller version of the bridal bouquet and we just love the overall look
James and the groomsmen wore a classic tux, and opted to go for a lisianthus buttonhole with a touch of eucalyptus, keeping in with the neutral florals without taking away from the aesthetic

I can’t wait to show you the rest of the day but for now how gorgeous are these bridal party images!!

Well, it's taken us a good 36 hours to recover but I think we're about there, although I am looking forward to another full night's sleep 😂

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who ordered or came into the shop last week for their Mother's Day florals and gifts, it's lovely to see how much you love your Mums 🥰 and are supporting a small high street business at the same time ❤️

Of course we wouldn't have been able to get out half the deliveries without our Superwoman Jo, thank you to you, we couldn't do it without you!
Ang and I are still a bit achy and tired after some long and busy shifts last week but after receiving lots of lovely feedback today we know it was worth it 🌷 so thank you to you all once again 🌸🤍

A change of scenery for us as we headed over to All Saints Church at North Ferriby for Eleanor and Rob’s wedding. The couple had chosen to use a mixture of neutral florals with our favourite n**e pink for their wedding, the colours flowed throughout all the bridal flowers and buttonholes as well as into the arrangements for Church which included roses at the pew ends and 2 arrangements on the lych gate

The newylweds sent over a lovely email after their honeymoon…
Thank you so much for providing such stunning flowers for our wedding, it was the most perfect day - we loved every second. I loved my bouquet so much, and the church looked wonderful.

Finishing off this gorgeous gorgeous wedding with the rest of the venue florals and styling.
The staircase (naturally) was another feature area, proving to be a great space for pre-wedding photos as well as couples portraits! We arranged florals at the base of the staircase, both the first and second landing, as well as our signature balcony florals, all providing a great backdrop in the natural lighting. We finished off the staircase area with our LED candles in cylinder vases for a lovely romantic glow as the day went on.

We also decided to place cylinder vases with floating candles on the entrance fireplace to greet the guests throughout the day and into the evening

After a stunning ceremony, Emily and Dan headed out for their confetti shot and photos. Meanwhile it was all hands on deck to get the ceremony room turned around ready for the wedding breakfast.

The couple had chosen to go with a round top table in the middle of all their guests so we moved the ceremony arch to frame the newlyweds, the ceremony chairs were also used again with the single drop sash and black knot of ribbon

For the taller centrepieces we used clean and simple cylinder vases with our artificial white floral arrangements that match the ceremony arch. The lower centrepieces took on a miniature version of the taller centrepieces however, instead of arranging extra florals, we used the bridesmaids bouquets in our low cylinder vases. Each table was then finished with simple glass tea light holders and our glass beaded charger plates, giving that luxury look without taking away from the aesthetic of the day

We hoped, prayed and kept everything crossed that we might be able to have the outside ceremony that we had chatted with Emily and Dan about in all our meetings, even to the point of dressing the chairs under the terrace in the hopes that we might be able to quickly move them down to the Walled Garden if the rain held off. However, the Great British weather had other plans so when the call was made to be inside it was all hands on deck to get the room set up and ready for the ceremony, now we know this would have been an absolute beauty outside however we also think it looks absolutely cracking in the Morning Room too!!

With our white artificial floral arch at the top of the aisle, every chair dressed with a single white sash tied with a knot of black ribbon, an aisle runner and our artificial domed arrangements on cylinder vases at the back of the aisle, the room looked crisp, fresh and ready for a wedding

Emily sent us the loveliest message a few days after their wedding….
‘Honestly I can’t thank you both enough for everything, I was so upset the days before about the weather and now I wouldn’t change a thing because you made the room an absolute dream ###’

You can’t go wrong with a monochrome colour palette on your wedding day…as Emily and Dan’s wedding shows us!

With not a hint of foliage anywhere to be seen the focus really was on the florals to be petal perfect. Emily’s favourite flower was a peony however with peony season coming to an end we chose to arrange our favourite white garden roses in and amongst the peonies for a luxury look, I just love the petal formation in these roses against the frills of the peonies! The bridesmaids held a bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas to keep that clean look against the black bridesmaid dresses.
Dan and the boys all wore a classic white rose buttonhole, again with no foliage to stand out great against the tux

Finishing off the week with some gorgeous staircase florals…

Ella and Dave opted to go for 3 placements of florals on the staircase, a feature area of Saltmarshe Hall that we love filling with beautiful blue blooms! We finished this area off with glassware and candles for the base of the staircase, it might have been mid-July but you can’t deny that romantic glow of candlelight!

Mr and Mrs Kibler sent us the following message…
‘Thank you so much for everything on Thursday, the venue looked amazing and Poppy’s collar is so good!’

After a gorgeous ceremony we headed back over to the terrace area for a stunning wedding breakfast.

All the floral arrangements were moved from the ceremony to the table centrepieces. The centrepieces were surrounded dusky blue runners along with candlesticks and blue candles from Limelight Wedding Emporium. We used the arrangements from the urns at the ceremony on our acrylic frames for a beautiful Summery look to the day. We then dressed the tables with our gold edged charger plates and blue napkins, each guest also had their chair sashed with a simple chiffon drop and blue ribbon tie. Extra florals were then arranged in the boxes around the parasol posts

We were lucky enough to catch some nice weather for Ella and Dave’s outdoor ceremony so we headed over to the Walled Garden to set up

The couple had chosen an arch from Limelight Wedding Emporium to frame their signing table. We then laid our carpet aisle runner and placed the low table centres at either side, at the back of the aisle we used two of the taller centrepiece arrangements in our stone urns, white rose petals were then sprinkled along the aisle to soften the look. We also dressed the aisle and back row chairs with our classic white chiffon drops and a matching soft blue ribbon

Stay tuned as we take you back over to the Terrace for the wedding breakfast and into the Main Hall for some gorgeous staircase florals

Ella & Dave

It’s no secret that soft blues are one of my favourite colour scheme's, so I was as giddy as a kipper when Ella and Dave mentioned that this was the colour palette they were choosing for their wedding day

Ella held a neat teardrop bouquet with mainly white florals and a touch of blue using gorgeous white roses, peonies and gypsophila with the blue hues coming from the delphinium and oxyphetalum. The bridesmaids were wearing soft blue dresses and held a bouquet of white florals to stand out from their outfit.
Dave and the bridal party wore a classic tux so we opted for Dave to have a white rose buttonhole and the rest of the gents to have a lighter lisianthus buttonhole.

As avid dog lovers we were over the moon to be able to arrange a floral collar for their gorgeous blonde Labrador Poppy, she was such a cutie on the day and we were more than happy to give her a fuss whenever we saw her!
