We are thrilled to have more happy couples using our Village Hall this year for their weddings!
We are lucky to have such a lovely hall and garden, as well as being close to the River Thames for some fabulous photo shoots.
As well as birthday parties, art shows, local exercise groups and the Goring Repair Cafe, this summer promises to be a great one!

Spring is (nearly) springing, and Goring is Unplugging once more! :-)🤩

Goring Unplugged: Friday 26th April. Doors 7.30pm, music at 8 pm. As usual it's a fiver on the door, and bring your own drinks and nibbles!

We've got a really special evening for you – as well as the welcome return of the brilliant Band Of Hope we've got a line-up packed with talented young local performers: GU favourite George Parker | cool jazzy vibes from Hannah & Kai | the hot funk of saxophone quartet The Chip Shop Chaps | plus Leah, Contrast, Jodi, and Alan Pettifer.

Please be mindful that the village hall notice board is for Goring Village Hall users and Goring Events only to put up posters.
Our team regularly monitor the board to ensure fairness to regular and local users.
There have been many posters put up recently whereby the event is not local, as well as local businesses putting their posters on top of regular, local hall hirers posters.
This is not very caring or conscientious.
There are plenty of notice boards around the village, please do use those or Facebook to advertise.

Oh my *word* Christmas is coming up fast isn't it! 😬 🎄

Which means the GORING UNPLUGGED Festive Bash will soon be here. Next Friday 22nd December to be precise. Doors at 7.30 pm. Music at 8 pm. £5 on the door.

We've got a smashing line-up of Goring Unplugged favourites for you. AND a stash of mince pies and gallons of mulled wine, too. So bring your own drinks and glasses and nibbles as per, but we'll get you started!

𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲?
We are aiming to make some small changes to our already lovely walled garden behind the village hall. We hope to make a small sensory area using grasses, herbs, a mirror and a sensory path.
Are there any villagers or local landscapers who would have any of the items below that they would be happy to donate please? Or could anyone donate their time and expertise to create a sensory path? (Please see ideas below)

🌺 Hardy Herbs such as lavender, rosemary, oregano, sage, thyme
🌺 Grasses
🌺 A garden mirror
🌺 Odd bricks, pebbles, tiles, concrete

The Village Hall is a charity and the trustees are all volunteers who keep the hall looking fabulous. We thank you for any items or help that you can offer!

Goring Repair Café is on next Saturday 5th August in Goring Village Hall

The third event for getting your broken items repaired by skilled volunteer repairers will take place in Goring Village Hall next Saturday between 11am and 1.30pm.

There should be about a dozen repairers on duty again, who will attempt to fix most things you bring in, including your bikes & buggies, garden machinery, electrical and other household appliances, computers & phones, guitars, small items of furniture, decorative boxes, clothes & textiles, tools, mower blades and knives and other items that need sharpening, as well as advice on shoe and leather repairs (which can be carried out afterwards if required in a local workshop).


For more information about what you can bring etc, please visit the website: www.goringrepaircafe.info and look at the list in ‘About Us’.

You can bring up to 2 items for repair. We welcome any voluntary donations to cover the cost of the hall hire and other expenses. However, if you don’t have anything broken to be fixed at the time, you are welcome to just pop in to have a look at how it all works – and have a coffee or tea and some wonderful homemade cake at Café Bellême.
