For many years now I have been making ballet skirts for my beautiful, talented daughter, who has recently graduated from full time vocational training. Along with skirts I have also made her countless dance and theatrical costumes for competitions and various performances. Four years ago I started making costumes for a local contemporary ballet company, Chantry Dance, for their annual UK tours - e
verything from steampunk inspired costumes for ‘Dracula - Welcome to D’s’ to kitting out Alice, Hatter and the rest of the gang for ‘Alice - Wonderland through the Looking Glass’. These wonderful, creative experiences, along with a long time fascination with tutus and their construction, lead to my decision to start this business. I have spent almost 2 years taking courses in tutu construction, experimenting, perfecting various techniques and working on creating ballet skirts with a beautiful shape and movement. I realise every dancer is an individual, with different tastes and so try to offer different styles and patterns. The skirts shown here are made in standard sizes but if you would prefer a custom make please contact me with your requirements - I can change the size, length or even just change the colour of the ties. I am currently working on some ready to wear stretch tutus and some test skirts for 2 additional lengths in the ballet wrap skirts - all of which will be available to purchase early in the new year.

This beautiful royal blue and gold tutu was delivered to it's new owner earlier this week.
Royal blue lycra, leotard based, stretch tutu decorated with royal blue and gold appliqués, pearl beads and sparkling crystals - this one will really stand out on stage!
I had a fantastic time at the DancePointe open day last week. Met lots of new people and the lovely Millie agreed to try on, and model, the peasant tutu I recently made. Keep an eye on my website as this tutu will be listed for sale in a couple of weeks.

Soft, pale blue, stretch tutu with 7 layers of white net. There is a top layer of pale blue sparkle net, all decorated with delicate blue, pink and silver appliqués.

2 more tutus have left for their new homes this week. Both will be dancing at the festival in Boston during half term - hopefully I will be able to see both of these lovely dancers performing at the festival.
Both tutus are stretch, on a leotard base. The first is a deep red stretch velvet with ivory net, decorated with ivory and champagne floral laces. The second is a lovely, soft, sky blue lycra with white, ombre dyed, net and decorated with silver and white floral appliqués.
I’ve had the most fabulous few days in Ludlow at a Tutus that Dance seminar, creating romantic tutus or peasant tutus. I met some wonderful ladies and made a tutu that is quite different to anything I have made in the past

This beautiful, deep turquoise tutu left with it's dancer last week and will see it's first performance later this month 🩰
Leotard based tutu with stretch velvet bodice, ivory net and floral appliqués that have been dyed and and hand painted to coordinate with the bodice colour. All this finished off with lots of crystals that will really sparkle under the stage lights 🌟

This beautiful soft lilac tutu has been delivered to it's new owner today.
Stretch velvet bodice with silk white net, the top three layers have been ombre dyed to coordinate with the bodice colour. Decorated with off-white floral lace, some of which was painted in soft lilac and pink, and finished off with some handmade ribbon flowers and cyrstals 🩰

Another little tutu has been posted out today!🩰
This one is a stretch tutu on a leotard base. A beautiful deep teal stretch velvet was used for the bodice and the skirt has been ombre dyed to coordinate. Finished off with a silver and pale teal toned lace and crystals.
