Many thanks to all involved in the Chris Maslin memorial custom car and bike rally at the weekend. it was such a great event and were proud to say we played the very first one because this definitely wont be the last and watch it grow!
Those wishing to see us in a slightly warmer environment can do so at the weekend for our HALLOWEEN show, Skeleton Crew 2023 Halloween & Fancy Dress Party...ZoiNkS!, at the Priory in Grantham, and its a FREE SHOW. cant wait to see what you come up with! see y'all there.

Well seems there s some real low people out there, i ve spent the last 36 hours trying to work why i ve been unable to access this page as an admin, finally managed to get through to online facebook support chat, extremely helpful, got me sorted but have found a hacked user running a second advertising account running on my credit card, so that's being investigated and refunded in due course.

So my apologies normal service can now resume!

This event is in memory our son Christopher, but alas since loosing Chris we have also lost a good friend Adrian Wheelhouse, he owned this limited edition Barry Sheene Suzuki sv650 Gladeus and kept it in mint condition. Ade had some remedial paint work carried out by Barkston refinishing due to a couple of stone chips and light scratches which involved repainting the bellypan, the tank pods and the front mudguard but due to the way Suzuki lay on their pinstripe and colours it was a tricky job to do and keep it looking completely original. But was completed perfectly. The bike will be on display on Barkston refinishings stand on Saturday along with some other bikes and cars of theirs.

Gate opening times are as follows:

Friday 20th Camp site opens at midday 12pm (if you have pre paid weekend camping and wanted to arrive earlier than midday, this could be arranged, please e-mail [email protected]

Friday evening passes are available on the gate, £5 to come and see Outside Chance, The Colliers and Ricky Gees disco in the marquee.

Saturday morning, traders who will be arriving that morning please aim for 8am to get to your pitch around the border of the display area before it fills with vehicles.

Gates open at 8am for people wishing to show their vehicle, official opening time to the public is 9am, if you arrive before then we ll not turn you away but stalls and traders etc may not be open at that time.

There is a finite amount of space for show cars, so being early guarantees a good spot, we do have an overflow option but it would be separate to the main area.

Anyone camping but travelling in or on a vehicle they wish to show, please advise on arrival, so you can get a vehicle show pass as you will have to exit via the one way system and drive back along the lane to the entrance to access the show area Saturday morning.

To show a vehicle in the arena we ask for a £5 donation to the charity pot, this comes with a free event day pass for the driver, any passengers will need to purchase a day ticket.

A day ticket gives you a wristband, which will allow you to leave and re enter later on, so for example if you re local and come during the day for the car and bike show, you can nip off home for a bit, walk the dog, feed the cats, water your veg patch and then come back later on to enjoy the bands and maybe a beverage from the fully licenced, reasonably priced well stocked Cricket club bar.

Evening entry available on the gate Saturday for the bands from 4pm, £5 per person.

CHILDREN UNDER 14 FREE BUT STILL HAVE TO BOOK IN AND GET RELEVANT WRISTBAND OR PASS AND MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT

We will have a catering van on site Friday late afternoon and evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning for campers looking for breakfast before departure.

Saturday they will have their donut trailer on site too!

SO WHY OCTOBER?

Some people have looked at us gone out when we ask them to show their cars and bikes in October, some people were quite pleased as there tends not to be so many shows in October, well the time of year couldn't really be any other........

Christopher was born on the 17th Oct, 2001, he died just 11 days after his 19th Birthday, 28th Oct, 2020. The event dates fall between the two, its also the start of school half term week and the Cricket season has finished.(the venue is a cricket club)

Ok, this is the UK, and it is October. Many folk have enquired about camping, with the reservation of holding off until we have an idea on the , yes I'm going to say it, weather!

Well, I cant predict the weather, but being an experienced camper, i can predict the camping area as ideal, flat and smooth cut grass area, (it is the secondary or training cricket pitch after all), sheltered on 3 sides from tall trees, and large hedgerows, and is inherently well drained and firm.

24 hour toilets, and showers available during clubhouse opening times.

We have started to receive many of the raffle prize donations, and will continue to add photos as more still to arrive, ALL MONEY TAKEN FROM THE SALE OF RAFFLE TICKETS GOES TO THE CHARITY FUND, tickets are on sale now and will be until saturday evening of the event when the draw will take place,

Saturday we open the gates to owners of cars, bikes, trikes, 4x4s, modified, classics, exotics, kit cars and even by special request a fire engine to come at a discounted entry fee and show off their pride and joy, not just to other enthusiasts, but the gates will open to the public for folk to come and enjoy admire your vehicles on display, and also peruse a wide range of craft and art stalls, food vendor, slush puppies, donuts, pizzas, coffee bike bar and a children's funfair. Not forgetting our special guest Slingshot, the Barkston Refinishing stand, All Vehicle Detailing stand complete with Chris's Corsa reveal, Olly Allen race car, and Ben Rippon Snap - on tool dealer, demonstrating some of the latest kit on sale.

The clubhouse has a fully licenced bar, and out front of the pavilion will be a 30x9 metre marquee where during the day Ashley Coulson DJ extraordinaire will be entertaining us over the PA.

Now on entry with a day ticket you will be issued a wrist band which must be put on as you enter, we would love for people to come and stay all day and all evening, we have entertainment throughout, but we appreciate that's not always practical, but with the wristband you are able to leave and re enter if you wanted to pop back for the bands and disco in the evening.

Live music commences around 4 pm in the marquee, through until around 7pm, Ricky Gee will be on the disco in the evening, and local rock band Skeleton crew will see us into the night, and somewhere in there we will be drawing the raffle and making some presentations.

we will post up a full itinerary with times after the next committee meeting on Sunday 8th October.

Pleased to announce All Vehicle Detailing of Grantham, who are supporting the event in the form of showcasing some their work at the event, but even more amazing they have been preparing Christopher's Vauxhall Corsa C to have the appearance he always wanted it to have, but never got the chance. His 2003 1.2 SXi was his pride and joy, and he had so many plans for her. So wait for the big reveal on Saturday 20th !
