Things only a florist would know …

1) How many tiles on my shop desk make up a foot and metres for easy measuring
2) What 4am and 12am in the same day look like
3) Packing the car with limited space and maximum delicate items and water sloshing possibilities
4)I can sniff out the nearest tap when needing water at venues.
5) how to get lilies open from completely closed quickly and how to keep peonies from opening more!
6) How to get lily pollen out of clothes effectively
7) How to ruin new trainers in one morning
8) How many layers are needed depending on the temperature outside (and inside!) when hot or cold
9) That a hot lunch encourages customers to come in even if you’ve not seen anyone all day
10) How to bring back an over brewed tea
11) That Christmas is a month not a single day
12) All the dates in the diary when the world celebrates with flowers so to know when things like Chrysanthemums are sky high in price
13) That petals on the outside of a Rose are guard petals which are supposed to be removed if undesirable (I personally like them)
14) How to successfully deliver flowers in the dark with no street names, house names or available help
15) How to miss birthdays, engagements, weddings and major life events due to flowering these events for others.
16) How much moss is needed for wreath rings at Christmas and foliage for garlands and chrysanthemums for basing farewell tributes.
17) How many of each flower type you have to buy when purchasing wholesale flowers 10,20,25,50 or 100 sometimes more
