Let's hear it for the boys!....
They often get a bit of a raw deal when it comes to wedding planning. However, over the last few years, I've really noticed a difference in how involved the guys are getting and I love it! I'm finding now that if anything, the groom's are MORE focused on the small details and have really clear ideas on how they want things to look which is fantastic! More of this please guys!

Time to lighten up our grid again and get back to some wonderfully bright and airy wedding designs!
In October, Sarah asked us to commission something a bit different for her London wedding. With just a few pics for inspiration, we set about creating a bespoke look that was light, elegantly simple and natural. It had to enhance the period features of the building, whilst still work around the constraints of the space!
Planning and creating unique concepts is one of our favourite aspects of the job. We're always happy to see our couples have been brainstorming and collecting inspiration on Pinterest, however we love being able to take those thoughts on board and then take them to a whole new level! Because, for us, it's not about 'copy and paste', it's about finding a style and look that speaks volumes about who YOU are and what YOU like.

With floor to ceiling grand windows and white, airy spaces, Bloomsbury House was the perfect venue for capturing this blush pink and neutral colour palette. With gold detailing through the use of ornate candlesticks and candlesticks, and a completely bespoke and unique foliage backdrop, this is a new favourite!

Finally getting a chance to look back through the stunning pics from Sarah and Paul's wedding last week at Bloomsbury House.
A hidden venue in the heart of central London; we had the pleasure (and honour!) of styling this beauty for the very last time as it's sadly been bought by a private buyer to turn back into a residential premises. What a pity but wow, what an epic house it will make!!! Would've snapped it up myself, if only I had the 💰 💰 💰 😂

A pop of colour to cheer up this dreary day!
After our wedding set up this morning, we attempted to take mini-styler to the park to get out of the house for a bit. Cue sudden downpour and slipping over in the mud = disaster. Not happy bunnies! Lets hope tomorrow is a bit drier or we think of some indoor fun!

What a wonderful colour palette this wedding used! Rich burgundy and red teamed with the most delicious caramel tones! The deep colours look so luxurious next to the crystal accessories and made for a truly sophisticated event!

We will never tire of blush pink, especially when it's teamed with interesting contrasting colours like it is here with navy blue! Elaborate ruffles, wild meadow flowers and soft floaty voiles helped to create this romantic look and we just loved it.

Knowing that they were having a Spring wedding, Jess and James dreamt of a beautiful colour scheme of fresh lemon yellow teamed with bursts of navy. Jess opted for a classic ivory bridal bouquet of luxurious Avalanche roses and ivory lisianthus but had vibrant pops of colour in the church flowers and arrangements. We just adored this colourful wedding!

Danny and Ashley used draping and backdrops to their advantage in this wedding and absolutely transformed their venue space! They focused on the use of lights and textures and adorned the room with twinkling fairy lights, trailing foliages and glittering sequins. Soft lilacs and purples were a key colour scheme and we adored working with the most beautiful ocean song lilac roses in Ashley's flowers!

This East London wedding was honestly one of our favourites for its sheer quirkiness! An absolute hidden gem, The Blitz Factory is a unique venue that suited Jules and Ed down to the ground. A wedding of neon Las Vegas style lights, wild trailing flowers, vintage fascinators and London route master buses - what more could you ask for!

We simply adored creating this classic and elegant wedding for Grace and Craig at De Vere Selsdon Estate. They were a couple after our own hearts; Their fresh and crisp colour palette of whites, ivories and golds was timeless and Grace had a really clear vision of how she saw her day. Flowers and lush green foliage featured heavily and we really enjoyed working with some real showstoppers such as hydrangeas, calla lillies and peonies!

Timeless and elegant. Two words that perfectly sum up Katie and Chris' wedding at the wonderful Buxted Park. The venue is absolutely stunning, with dramatic high ceilings and endless original features so it made sense to create something that would compliment that beautiful surroundings. Katie and Chris were using multiple rooms within the venue so we were thrilled to be able to extend our decor throughout, including in the bar area and buffet room. We are in love with the soft, dusty pinks and abundance of hydrangeas - what about you?

Zahraa and Jazib got married at the stunning Heatherden Hall, at Pinewood Studios. A real hidden gem; the venue was fit to bursting with huge ornate fireplaces, dark wood paneling and grand ceilings! The couple opted for a classic theme with touches of gold, blush pink and dark burgundy.

These gorgeous Autumnal colours have got us thinking about a really quirky Halloween-themed styled shoot in a few weeks time. I won't give it away but it's definitely an edgy idea and I can't wait to get working on it! 😁

It's been a great week for lovely, open and honest posts on here! Some of our favourite accounts have been opening up about the struggles of being self-employed/running your own business and I can totally relate! It ain't all sparkly and shiny!
It's also not the easiest trying to run a business with a young family in tow as well. So this a shout out to all the hard-working mums in the wedding industry!
It often feels like I have to choose: Be a dedicated mum but let the business fall by the wayside, or run the business like a boss but be a distant mum?! It's a constant mental battle I have with myself, and I'm still learning to find the balance. I wonder if any of you mums can relate?? 🤷
Anyway, I've loved seeing the little snippets of 'reality' this week and it reinforces my thought that it's so important to just say it how it is on insta! I'm sure we all find it too easy to compare ourselves to others sometimes and it can be really damaging! So where we can, if we can all wear our hearts on our sleeves a little bit more, wouldn't Insta just be so much better!

Gosh, I don't know about you but I find we're either one extreme or another when it comes to Instagram. Posting everyday or MIA for a week?! It's so hard keeping up with social media when you have a million other things to do as well!
Anyway, it's been another busy start to the week. Lots of enquiries and emails to respond to, photo editing from last week's weddings and getting everything in order for this coming weekend! At least it's hump day today, hurray!

BRAIN DUMP//
This week seems to have started at 100mph and I don't know if I'm coming or going?! Summer wedding season still seems to be going and going and we've had a crazy influx of enquiries for weddings in 2020, 2021. Which, don't get me wrong, is fantastic....but crazy!
I saw a story from yesterday about 'brain dumping'. Basically writing down all your millions of thoughts and to-do-lists in a notebook, just so you can get them out and quieten your mind for a minute! (And attempt to get them in some kind of order?!)
I definitely feel like my brain needs to go 'bluurrrrrrghhhh' at the moment and do one big massive brain dump! 🤪

BUZZING//
It's been another busy weekend of weddings and meetings and we're so excited about all the things we have lined up in the next few months!
If you read our latest blog, you'll know what I mean when I say it's not all sparkle and glitz in this industry??! It's a lot of hard work and it's not uncommon to have days where you feel burnt out, disheartened and frustrated!
And yet, it only takes a consultation with a lovely new couple, talking about their wedding, to get us back on track and bursting with ideas and energy! There's lots to look forward to so watch this space!

SWEETHEART//
Sweetheart tables are getting more and more popular now. If you've got tricky family dynamics (don't we all?! 🙄) and it's a headache trying to work out who will sit on the top table,....or even if you just want to break from convention and have a moment just for the two of you to sit together and take it all in..... sweetheart tables are the way forward!
Such a lovely way to incorporate a moment of quiet for you both, in a day where ironically you don't get to spend proper time together!
I also loved the way Vivek from had incorporated some of Poonam and Nikhil s wedding footage and their stunning monogram on the screens behind the table. Perfection! 👌
