We are ever so excited to announce that Alex Gingell, FEI and BD judge, is bringing his passion for Dressage Ringcraft to Great Bookham Equestrian Centre this summer.
Alex has created a thriving online community and training programme based on Dressage Ringcraft.

WHAT IS RINGCRAFT?
✨understanding what is required in the test movements themselves, allowing you to execute them properly to the best of you and your horse's ability
✨preparing you for the unique pressures of the competition environment
✨fine-tuning your test riding skills
✨including strategies for dealing with nerves, managing warm-ups and presenting your horse at it's best to the judge.

We have 3 riders riding across 3 levels of BD tests, each having a 45 minute session with Alex.

You are invited to audit the clinic, sitting alongside Alex as he teaches to hear the way of going assessed in detail and ask questions in real-time. You can attend for all three levels, or just come for the level that you are riding at. Be warned, you will want to stay longer!
His aim is to be interactive and informal, but offering maximum information for you to take away.
Light refreshments will be available.

Lynne is a qualified instructor who has competed in dressage to PSG level will be here to help anyone at any level on any type of horse or pony. She will provide tips and pointers on the new British Dressage tests in order to get those extra marks. Two of our lovely grass livery mares enjoying the sun on their backs and each other's company this week. Our standard grass livery service includes daily health visits, which involve hoof and body checks. We can also include additional feeding, rug changing and veterinary care too.

We have just a few spaces currently for Part or Grass livery.

There are 2 spaces for part livery horses, can be mares or geldings. One box is more suitable for 16hh and under, one box is much larger.
Within our grass livery herds, there is a space for one mare.

Endurance GB Ride

We are delighted to announce that Endurance GB will once again be organising an endurance ride from Great Bookham Equestrian Centre this year. The event will take place on Sunday 11th May and offer rides ranging from a 20km Pleasure Ride up to a 65km Graded Endurance Ride.

Here is the organisers’ description of the event:
New and improved route for 2024! A rare opportunity to ride over the North Downs in the heart of the Surrey Hills. Starting from Great Bookham Equestrian Centre the ride will take you inside the grounds of the Polesden Lacey estate (with the kind permission of the National Trust) and then across Ranmore Common with great views towards the South Downs.

Opportunities for Weekend Work at GBEC🐴🐴🐴
Half day (morning) or full day for Saturdays - paid position.

We’re currently looking for some extra team members to look after our lovely livery horses in Bookham, Surrey. We are happy to build up and sign off on DOE skills sections, if this is relevant for you 😁

All usual stable and horse care duties, working with an experienced team. Good pay and fully managed yard, with supervision for juniors. You will work with the team in a friendly and knowledgeable environment where you can learn/expand your equine skills and become a valued member of the GBEC team.

Minimum age 14+, with relevant experience.

Saturday 30th November, Andrew Williams is back for another polework and show jumping clinic!

Andrew adapts his sessions to individuals and their horse/pony, to get the most out of each session and create tailored goals. Teaching beginner children to 5* competition riders.
