Our 2nd XI have won the JW Lees Lancs League Junior Cup.

Littleborough batted first, Phill Sutcliffe (41) Jamie Roche (41) and Ben Williamson (36) helping them to 192-8. Paul Newton taking 5-49.
In response, we lost Nathan Sheridan with the score on 4, but Kasim Masood (39) and Miles Corish put on 105 for the second wicket.
Two quick wickets of Kasim Masood and Allan Armer followed, before an unbroken partnership of 82 between Miles Corish (76*) and Siraj Ahmed (42*) saw us reach the target in the 46th over.
What a great game of cricket!
Credit to Littleborough who were right in the game throughout, and to their army of followers for helping to create a real atmosphere throughout.

Calling all women and girls! Come and have a go at cricket, have fun and a good laugh on our upcoming Cricket Festival. Teams of 6 to play in a fun and friendly softball tournament on Saturday 18th September with prosecco and food packages available. To keep in the spirit of encouraging WaGs to try a new sport and to have good fun, all teams must have one player who is under 16 and one who has never played before.
