Following replacement of the existing fluorescent lights in the village hall with LED versions, we have 16 used 6ft long fluorescent lights with double tubes available. All were working prior to replacement. These are available can be collected from the village hall for £5 each or £50 for the job lot.

Notice of Open Meeting

Great Ouseburn Village Hall

Thursday 25th July, 7pm

The Kirby Hall Estate, situated in and around Great & Little Ouseburn is for sale, with individual Lots available to acquire.

A group of residents within Great Ouseburn is keen to investigate the purchase of Lot 6, listed as 20.41 acres of grassland and woods located around Ouse Gill Beck, close to the bridge and running parallel to Main Street. The Guide Price is £250,000.

The area is a Site of Importance to Nature Conservation (SINC) and is one that many people wish to protect from future development, safeguarding the land for future generations as well as becoming a village amenity for everyone to enjoy.

You are invited to attend an open Village Meeting, which is being held at 7pm on Thursday 25th July in Great Ouseburn Village Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to gauge interest amongst the local community and to discuss raising money in order to make a financial bid for Lot 6.
