The 28th of December was a beautiful end to 2022, such a privilege to film these guys getting married at St Micheals Church in Ormesby followed by my first visit to @theboathouse_ormesby.
My favourite moments included Dawn walking down the aisle with her Dad and the first dance. Capturing moments like these, that only happen once is the most enjoyable aspect of being a Wedding Videographer ❤️

We also had time to capture this awesome set of couple portraits...
After the ceremony the couple portraits are my favourite part of the wedding day. A chance to capture some beautiful memories and get creative.
I'm mindful that being filmed isn't something that comes naturally to most people, so I replicate things that already feel natural such as walking together holding hands and standing together and talking about the day.
Evening is always the best time for the couple portraits as the light is the most flattering and often comes with a golden sunset.

So I finished Emma & Tom's wedding film a few days ago: https://chrischadwickfilms.com/films
Its a great feeling sending a finished film to a couple. I put hours of editing into every wedding, filming the big day is just the beginning. The editing suite is where the story really comes to life.
I begin by watching all the footage, sifting the very best clips from hundreds of files. Next I choose the music. I find songs that capture the emotion of the day and bring the perfect atmosphere to the film.
After I find the right song (it can take a while) its trimming clips, colour correcting, syncing audio, editing to the beat, adding slow motion the list goes on. Fortunately I enjoy every minute of it.
Watching and delivering the final project is my favourite part of the process. I love the feeling of creating something from start to finish, hearing feedback from happy couples and knowing the memories of their wedding day are safe forever.
