The shoot we conceptualised with Willow & Fig Greater Manchester has been published on Unconventional Wedding this week - we wanted to bring together some of Wigan and surrounding area’s incredible suppliers to showcase just what us Northern wedding suppliers can do! 🪩

Hosted at the iconic The Old Courts, A Northern Heart & Wigan Soul Wedding brings brilliant local suppliers together. It shows how to throw a party that’s stylish, down-to-earth, and packed with personality.

The aftermath of a packed dance floor… 🪩
When the couple says “hands down the best in the business” and the guests are still texting the next day about how they couldn’t sit down for more than 2 seconds - that’s exactly why we do what we do.

In keeping with not being totally traditional, we decided to have an audio guest book () opposed to a normal guest book at our wedding back in June. When planning our wedding, our married friends advised that not everybody filled in their guest book and left them with lots of empty pages, so we were half decided to not bother. That’s until we came across the option of having an audio guest book! As a couple that love the vintage aesthetics of a manual telephone, the audio guest book slotted straight in with our vision and looked great on the day! We LOVED listening back to our friends and family’s messages when sent back the digital files to us. The guestbook also came with a wooden plaque to prompt guests in not only saying their well wishes, but to tell a joke or share a memory.
We made sure to position the audio guest book at the furthest distance away from the dancefloor so that guests could hear the prerecorded message tone, and put our post box for cards next to it so that it would be in good eyeshot!

Our only regret is that we didn’t mention it in our speeches to encourage more of our guests to leave a message and direct them to where our audio guest book was if they hadn’t seen it already, but this was bittersweet as we know that most of our guests were having too much of a good time on the dance floor to slip away to leave a recording for us! 💃🕺🏻
