That's a wrap on my first decade of business, and what a ride it has been!
I try to stay under the radar in the event industry, supporting clients almost in secret - and I am proud to say that all of my business still comes from repeat clients and recommendations and to this day i've never had to spend a penny on marketing.
To celebrate, I hosted a daytime event at Cloud23 with all of my clients, suppliers, friends, and family who have impacted my business and its success since 2013. We had an absolute blast, and I am grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way.

Thanks to Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and every other video call platform it seems most of us are working all day in a video call bubble, with the line between work and rest disappearing fast.
Your probably suffering from the so-called "Zoom Fatigue" just like us, but what can we do? 🆘
For starters you need to activate your body in order to counteract fatigue - so yes, take a break, but don't turn from one screen to another 🤳🏽❌, instead GET OFF YOUR AR$E!!🍑
Take... a... proper... break!⏱
Here's some easy options (also leave your phone alone):
🚶🏽♀️Go for a walk around the block
💃🏽 Stick some music on and dance with your partner, child or pet
🍃Head to the local park even if its just to sit and have a snack
🤸🏼♀️Do any form of exercise for 15 minutes - yoga, breath-work, running, star jumps - it doesn't matter
🔅Change your environment, move yourself to a different location for the rest of the day and set yourself out.
Something else you can do is make your interactions as rewarding as possible⭐️. Start video calls with a social discussion - whats worrying you, what's happened that morning, how was your lunch, wheres your dog/cat etc.

We were asked recently how you can show hard working and heavily fatigued staff that the company was truly thankful. One of our suggestions was a totally informal "big night in", with snack packages 🍿 and more sent to everyone, ready for an hour of good old daft fun! 🤪 We're pleased to now be in the midst of helping that client pull everything together 👍🏼🤩

*Virtual Event Tip: Making Awards Evenings Great!*
We have lots of great ideas, tips and tricks on this subject - but today’s post is focussed on the winner reveal. You have so many options with this to keep things exciting, aside from the host announcing it. One option is for the reveal to be animated like the one in the clip.
Because we’re good like this, here’s some more winner reveal ideas:
• Cut to the winner’s camera if possible to get the live reaction 😲
• Use an app such as Cameo to get a celebrity to announce a winner 🦸🏽♂️
• Collect videos from those who have nominated to say why (keep these within 5-10 seconds each)🤳🏼
• Think Postcode Lottery style - go to a live camera/phone which is on site at the winners address with an award to handover, confetti cannons and music 🎉
Event theme development
We don’t just “do events” you know! There’s a lot more to it than what you may perceive. If it’s needed, we’ll help to develop an event theme and concept too, considering the planned content and also the styling so everything ties together.
We prefer to start this off with our clients as a workshop style session🧠, involving ideally at least three of the key team members that tend to be involved in the live event. This is usually a bit of a treat as we like to arrange it in a creative space with excellent snacks! 🥨🍿🧁🥡
