Mister Mayor, the Bürgermeister Mr. Lutz Wagner and a delegation from Königswinter, in Germany today attending a Service at Corpus Christi Church Cleethorpes Holy Trinity GCI and a Reaffirmation Ceremony held at Cleethorpes Town Hall, both events were held to mark 50 years of Twinning between Cleethorpes and Königswinter.

The Twinning began in 1974 and was officially declared following a Town Twinning ceremony at Cleethorpes Pier Pavilion in March the following year.

Mister Mayor, Mayoress and the Cleethorpes Charter Trustees welcoming the Bürgermeister Mr. Lutz Wagner and a delegation from Königswinter, in Germany today at Cleethorpes Town Hall.

They are visiting the area to mark 50 years of Twinning between Cleethorpes and Königswinter.

The Twinning began in 1974 and was officially declared following a Town Twinning ceremony at Cleethorpes Pier Pavilion in March the following year.

Join The Worshipful the Mayor of the Borough of North East Lincolnshire Councillor Steve Beasant at his charity coffee morning.

On Friday, 19th July, you are invited to Grimsby Town Hall from 10am - 11.30am to come and enjoy coffee and cake as well as help raise funds for the Mayor's charities.

The Mayor invites you to a moment of reflection on the steps of Grimsby Town Hall at 10:00am on the morning of Thursday 6th June to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

You can also join him and other dignitaries at a Civic Service of Commemoration at St Marys on the Sea Church, Heneage Road, Grimsby.

The service will be starting at 6pm with those attending asked to be seated by 5:50 pm.

The Armed Forces Events Management Team are also lighting a beacon at 9.15pm on 6 June at The Knoll, Cleethorpes, to commemorate the event with other activities.

Pay on the door only £3.00 includes tea/coffee and a cake 🍰. There will also be a raffle all welcome. Mister Mayor is raising money for his chosen Charities Sunflowers Childrens Action Group and The Health Tree Foundation Pink Rose Suite based at Grimsby’s Diana, Princess of Wales.
