Hi, I’m Jo Smith & I live and run my floristry business from my home “Borrowdale” in the village of Holton-le-Clay, North East Lincolnshire. I have been working with flowers for almost 25 years & have qualifications in floristry, horticulture & teaching, over the years I have won many competitions & awards including an RHS Gold Metal, I’ve learnt a lot, met & taught some amazing people, travelled

& enjoyed some wonderful opportunities, all surrounded & submerged in flowers. I love what I do & take the responsibility of it very seriously, it’s the best job in the world and being a part of your lives for all those occasions when flowers take centre stage is a huge privilege. Flowers are present & represent us in all aspects of our lives, they are personal, memorable & beautiful & carry with them your thoughts, feelings & emotions. One of the happiest ladies I've ever had the privilege to meet....Jill oozed excitement and looked so beautiful when her day finally came round last Saturday 🩷💜

A pink and purple, traditional theme for the flowers throughout the Bridal party, church & venue. We went all out & had great fun...pink water in the vases for the table centres, top table spray with a foliage & mixed fresh petal runner, I supplied the Welcome Sign, easel, candles & vases throughout the venue. Jill's bouquet was a beautiful mix of flowers and foliage with one unique addition (just for the bride 😉) a few Freesia gave a wonderful scent to all the designs.

I couldn't be happier for new Mr & Mrs Griffiths and wish them a long and happy marriage 💜🩷

A little peek into Victoria and Iain's Wedding Venue flowers at the very beautiful Stubton Hall 🤍 I'm always happy to travel out of area and have the opportunity to work in new and beautiful places 🤍 The flowers had tints of pale blue and pale pink mixed with whites and were used throughout windowsills, fireplaces, registrar, guest, and top tables to give colour and fragrance to each area within each room 🤍 The 2 large urn and pedestal base arrangements framed the ceremony area & were moved to give a back drop for the top table at the reception 🤍 All vases, candles, mirrors, tealights, gold stands & the classic urn and pedestal bases were supplied by myself 🤍 A stunning venue and an absolute joy to decorate ....my congratulations to Victoria and Iain and thank you for asking me to arrange your flowers for you.... how lucky am I 🤍🤍🤍

Our Story

Qualified Floral Designer, Tutor, Area Demonstrator, Horticulturist and Member of NAFAS Teachers Association. NAFAS National Teacher I have been working and creating with plants and flowers for many years and use a vast amount of home-grown foliage's and flowers in my floral design, demonstrations and competition work. Having a good knowledge of horticulture works hand in hand with floral design and my garden is often the inspiration for many of my work.... A good understanding of the elements and principles of design are essential for horticulture, garden design and floral design, they must all come together and be used correctly to create overall harmony.

I use this knowledge and skill to arrange beautiful designs for your Wedding or special event, saying goodbye to loved ones or a floral demonstration. If you wish to learn these skills for yourself perhaps you’d like to attend a workshop or short leisure course or maybe gain a qualification with the NAFAS Level 1 or 2 in Floral Art and Design.
