Last year the pandemic and an inflexible landlord sadly forced The Crobar to close down.

These venues are so important for heavy/alternative music cultures to survive.

If you can afford to, please consider supporting their campaign to reopen in a new venue.

The crowdfunder ends in just 2 days from now.

There'll be no Reload Radio this week while we rest our horns for the Xmas holidays.

The loud and alternative side of rock music heavily relies on nightclubs and gigs to be heard with an audience. With nightclubs remaining closed, festivals postponed until next year and indoor gigs capped at unsustainable numbers, keeping the heavy rock scene alive is now more important than ever.

We don't make a penny from Reload Rock Club when we host our nights in the Back Room at The Star Inn, Guildford. At most we break even, including when we fill the venue. We do this out of the love and passion we have for our favourite genres, bands and the vibrant rock scene community that we've individually been a part of for 20 years.

Reload Radio is an extension of Reload Rock Club. It makes it possible for metalheads and alternative rock fans from Surrey, the surrounding areas and beyond, to stay in contact while having an interactive virtual club night out. We play your favourite and our favourite metal and alternative rock tracks from the past 40 years. It's completely free to watch, listen, request tracks and chat with others.

We'd very much appreciate it if you could share the hell out of this to all of your friends and anyone else who has the same awesome taste in music, and let them know that this month's Reload Radio will be back this Friday from 8pm at twitch.tv/reloadrockclub

Now that lockdown restrictions have been eased a bit and we can join our friends outside, we'll be streaming Reload Radio a little less often so we can all (safely) make the most these new freedoms.

Reload Radio has been an absolute blast over the past few months. Rocking out to the music we love every week, talking nonsense with our friends in the chat, making new friends and dealing with some surprising hangovers the next day!

The next Reload Radio will be streaming live on Friday 19th June - a date which we would have been with you all The Star Inn!
