Come and join us for World Land Rover Day at The Sunday Best and see the very first vehicle that started it all!

Our good friend Tim will be bringing the actual Land Rover that was first displayed to the world at the Amsterdam car show in 1948.

The Sunday Best Rosette will be awarded to our favourite landy on the day and there may even be a few surprise categories!

We also have Surrey4x4tours joining us before a green lane tour back to the woods in Farnham - contact Gareth - for more details.

Usual breakfast fair on offer at our exclusive heated venue, the lightweight bar.

Stay on and enjoy a roast (book in advance directly) or take your pride and joy off for a potter around the Sussex countryside.

It will be Land Rover’s 75th anniversary so it is set to be a busy one.

As you enter, please park Classics on the right and later models on the left.

Can’t wait to see you and your lovely vehicles - it’s going to be a fun one, so share far and wide!

As part of our 75th Anniversary celebrations, we would like to invite you along to The Rover Social’s new monthly meet “The Sunday Best”.

Our favourite classic on the day will be crowned 'The Sunday Best', with said vehicle and owner being featured in our social and upcoming website blog.

Did somebody say Front-end-Friday? Well here’s a rather splendid one for you… The first Land Rover presented to the world at the 1948 Amsterdam Motor show and the first Land Rover ever registered. Tim the owner, was also one of the first special guests interviewed at The Rover Social last month. An absolute joy and honour to have Tim and his beautiful Series1 with us for our first show. Stay tuned for highlights of the interview and to hear how Tim and his family recently drove from the UK, all the way back to the steep hills of Barcelona, where the vehicle was originally tested (see second image), prior to it’s big reveal in Amsterdam!

We’d like to say a special thank you to the team for supporting our classic car show last week. Natasha, Chris, Dale, Noah and Chandler are a team of absolute professionals and it’s been a pleasure working with them over the last few months.

What sets them apart, is the fact that they know their Land Rovers - and have hundreds of classic landies for sale on their site at any one time (we should know as we sometimes lose whole mornings scrolling the green pages!) - It also turns out they’ve been to a few classic car shows in their time too, so we’ve been keen to see their review of our first event!
