This week our repairs pile feels like it consists mostly of button replacements, many on military jackets but these silver ones are to embellish our Roman tunics and there are approx 40 more to add on. Cake needed methinks. Send emergency supplies!

As if overlockers aren't annoying enough you then have to scour the entire building to find an Allen key small enough to be able to replace the needles which obviously both sheared off an inch before I was finished sewing! 😂 5min job takes an hour....

Today, we bid a sad but fond farewell to Zoe, who is on to an exciting role at the Royal School of Needlework. We have been working her hard this week finishing up lots of bitty tasks so as a treat she got to make Ghosts mannequins.

This week we've been trying to get through the laundry and ironing. One gets done a lot quicker than the other! I decided it was time to tackle the hand washing and saved this green (in real life) evening jacket till last and it was a good job too ! As it went unexpectedly and dyed my hands blue 🔵 which is definitely not a normal occurrence hand washing. As a result I spun it in the machine and had to 2 rinse cycles to get rid of the blue left behind !!

There are over 20,000 items in the wardrobe including hats, ties, coats, jackets, dresses, skirts, uniforms, shoes and much more. A change of season has called for a seasonal slash out. Come and see if there is anything you want for your wardrobe, maybe something just in time for Halloween.
