The Guildhall is a 16th/17th century building of great historic interest. Formerly a courtroom and council chamber, the ground floor is of Tudor origin. The classical front of the building is dominated by a magnificent bracket clock made in 1683. The Guildhall still plays a major role within the towns civic events and is the official residence of Guildford's Mayor. Over its history the Guildhall h

Our Mayor of Guildford, Cllr Dennis Booth and Leader Cllr Joss Bigmore at the Guildhall while the Union Flag is raised to full mast as today His Majesty The King is formally proclaimed. The flag remains at full mast until tomorrow at 1pm when it will return to half-mast.

In Guildford the proclamation will be read on steps of Holy Trinity Church in our High Street on Sunday 11 September by our Mayor Cllr Dennis Booth at 3pm. Residents are welcome to attend. https://orlo.uk/mrXGk
